Perspective, the author tells us, is easy; yet surprisingly few artists are aware of the simple rules that make it so. This easy-to-follow book -- the first devoted entirely to clarifying the laws of perspective -- remedies the situation. In it, the author uses over 250 simple line drawings to illustrate the concepts involved.
Beginning with clear, concise, immediately applicable discussions of the horizon, vanishing point, and the crucial relationship of eye level to perspective drawing, you'll learn how to place figures and objects in a drawing, depict interiors, create shade and shadows, and achieve all the other elements necessary for a successful perspective drawing. By repeatedly stressing important points, Mr. Norling teaches you to make them second-nature. Moreover, his approach is so simple and direct that no matter how little raw talent or experience you have, you will soon be able to apply these techniques almost instinctively.
Mastery of perspective is a basic skill every artist must have. This simple, nontechnical guide will enable you to master its essentials in a relatively short time. Clear and concise, this book is an essential addition to any artist's bookshelf.
It takes about 4 Hours and 35 minutes on average for a reader to read Perspective Made Easy. This is based on the average reading speed of 250 Words per minute.
Perspective Made Easy is 224 pages long.
Excellent
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
The best book for learning perspective is the best book. There are other books out there that have more information and if you are looking for something very technical, Perspective for Artists by Rex Cole is a great reference, but Norling's book is the best book on learning perspective. I have been using this book for a few months now and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn perspective.

Easy to Understand
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Good, solid, workmanlike explanation of perspective, described step by step. Plain language, no wasted words. Clear drawings by Clare. It is like taking the assignments, it's like taking a class for which you would pay $350. I tried to learn perspective from other books, but they were too complicated. This is the classic. Every illustrator needs it. I use this knowledge every day.

Small but Mighty Book on Perspective
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Though this book is simple and small, it explains the basic principles of perspective. As a former design student, this is a go-to book for me when I feel like the perspective is driving me crazy in my drawings. It has such a simple way of explaining and exercises to allow you to practice the skills it is explaining. In all seriousness, all great book.

Excellent instruction!!
Derived From Web , Jan 3, 2022
I read the review of this book and, as I am an oil painter and often have issues with perspective, I thought I would give it a try... excellent instruction and very well explained... The commentary is paired with numbered illustrations so that you can see exactly what is taught. I also appreciated the recap at the end of each chapter and the suggestions for practicing instruction. Loved that they addressed umbrellas, reflections and gave several methods to manage the correct perspectives for these objects. This is a book that I know that I will refer to over and over again!!! Loved it.

I have been more serious about my art work so I needed a big help on perspective. This book is a game-changer. It is easy to understand. It is simple to understand. Simple examples of simple examples : I havent read the whole thing, but am happy so far. I only give four stars because the back of the book had a slight cut on it, but the book is great besides that.

Kindle edition - the images are too small to be helpful
Derived From Web , Apr 6, 2020
This review is for the Kindle Edition of this book. The images are really too small to be helpful, wish I had bought the paper back instead, unfortunately can not return the book digital, in this case the physical version is perhaps more useful than the digital one.
