The media couldn't load. The book is written like a song or rap, so it's easy to read with a fast pace. Don't sweat the small stuff, that's the message. It has helped build their confidencepositivity. The colors are just like Pete's buttons in the illustrations. It comes with a link to the video book, and it introduces the concept of simple math. A good children's book with a positive message. You can add this one to your collection.

   My kids love Pete the Cat
My two year old loves Pete the Cat and my 6 year old doesn't, but they both love him. He loves my white shoes and the missing cupcake. The books give my 6 year old confidence in his reading ability and he likes the story. I'm thinking about getting a puppet for my toddler for valentines day.

   Fun and educational! Toddlers love repetition.
My daughter likes Pete the cat. Her go to books are these. The book is a lot of fun to read. She is reading it with me. She helps me count and do math on our hands. The math is planting seeds for her education later on as she is 2 so counting is great practice. If you do more than just read the books, you can get a lot out of them. Find colors, look for objects on each page, and reinforce the ideas of the book. The Pete the Cat books have a lot of life lessons in them. Sometimes things come and go in this one.

   My autistic 5 year olds favorite book hands down!
My son is learning how to talk. He likes Pete the Cat books because he learns and remembers better with music or rhyme. He loves to follow along with the kids song version of this book. The book is simple and has a great moral. White Shoes and Pete the Cat are his favorite books. This is a good book at a great price. I highly recommend for all kids.

There is a list on Amazon of best baby gifts. It's full of brands I' ve liked, products that have been absolutely indispensable in the first couple of years for my kid, books that we loved, etc. We have a number of Pete the Cat books, but none of them beat Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons. The message is great, Pete is a great character, and the colors are fun. This book is credited for our 20 month old son knowing how to count by 18 months.

   Great to read out loud to young children
My 4 year old loved this book. I have read this book to a group of about 10 kids between the ages of 2 and 6 and it worked there as well. The book is easy to read with kids. They will start singing and shouting the number of remaining buttons after a few pages after catching on to the pattern. A lot of fun! The art is cute. Pete is an American cat who skateboards and surfs. I was unaware that there was an entire line of Pete the Cat products available when I got this book. I haven't tried any of the other Pete the Cat books.

   The pictures are graphic and easy for kids to see
I always think of him as a California hippie, who slowly loses the buttons on his shirt until he's left with just his bellybutton! The pictures are easy for kids to see, and there is a lot to discuss with them. It's fun to make your own version of the song that the cat sings repeatedly. I have one song, my husband sings it different, my mom sings it different, and so on. It's all great!
