Not my favorite style of story.

This book came damaged, I am not terribly bothered by it, but it does stinks to pay for something and have it damaged. I am also not thrilled with the story, it's kind of blah, and I am not a book fan of books that use words like rad and groovy, just a personal preference. I don 't think I'll enjoy reading this to my children, but I think they'll still enjoy looking at the pictures and using the stickers. Even though this is a fictional story, I'm bothered that it seems to fly to the Moon in a matter of minutes rather than days, and that Pete could fly with a jet pack to Mars, again only a few minutes to get there. This book has a large lost potential for a fun and factually accurate story.

Great Pete the Cat Book!

This is a great Pete the Cat story book! Our 3.5 year old grandson loves hearing the Groovy '' story about Pete's space camp with his friends traveling to the Moon. It opened up a lot of conversation about space, rockets, astronauts, gravity and the possibility of traveling away from Earth. He was so curious and fascinated that it was a really fun book to read to him. I look forward to reading it again soon ''. I also look forward to reading it again. This book is a little harder for me to read over video chat because the print is smaller than some of our other beginning reader books and is harder to see when holding the book up to the camera. It will be perfect to read in person, hopefully we can do that soon.

These books are always great. This one comes with stickers and has awesome hidden facts related to space. The names of the astronauts are those of real astronauts, who can then do more research and share with the kids. In the back cover, they mention a space camp to visit. This book is cool because it provides a great surface story, but also allows you to expand and form a whole lesson on space if you wanted.

My son loves animals and Pig the Pug books, we needed more animal collections and found this. It's adorable, there's a page that they count from five to liftoff and my son got so into it that he now loves to count. We bought almost all the other books. The paperback version is very thin and light, easy to test and destroy so careful with tough kids.

This is not the Pete the Cat book you are looking for.

This is the worst Pete the Cat book, and I've read many Pete the Cat books, including countless Pete the Kitty books. The story ends abruptly shortly after Pete is stranded in space far away from the shuttle... instead of writing a compelling storyline, the next page says Pete '' Pete made it back... How in the world did Pete make it back? This is a pertinent detail and I am sure that it would have enhanced the story instead of being glossed over when I am sure that something exciting must have surely been left out... maybe my copy had pages missing with these details. The worst part comes when you turn the final page to be hit with a full page advertisement for “Spacecampâ€. I prefer not to have to pay money for ads in my books. I was left with the feeling that the whole book was just a bad shell of a Pete the cat book to push the Spacecamp advertisement at the end.

The Pete the Cat books are such a great series for children to read for the first time and are definitely worth the money. The structure is simple enough that children can easily pick up basic reading and each novel has a positive message behind it. As of this review, I can confirm that children of 3 and 4 years of age can read and enjoy this book.

The book arrived in an extremely thinnish bag without any protection. The book came wrinkled, and is also a thin book. Not happy. Cannot give as a gift because it looks used because of the creases. Would suggest to ship with hard cardboard for protection. The update seller refunded me for receiving a creased book.

Here is another delightful book in the Pete the Cat series. My 5 year old grandson loves Pete and his adventures, as do the other 4 and 5 year olds in his Pre-K class. I love the fact that each story teaches a lesson in a really fun way for children to appreciate. Buy some Pete the Cat for the little ones in your family. I think you 'll also love Pete!
