   Great Gift Set
The gift set is well-priced. The Pete the Cat books have great lessons. Play Ball teaches a great lesson about not being upset when you're not the best at sports. In the book, Pete doesn't hit the ball, doesn't catch the ball, and gets out at home plate, but he's not upset and is just happy for his teammates' success. Very well done without being preachy.

   Perfect for early readers
I encourage my kids to read. It helps if they have books they are interested in. My son was excited to learn to read from this set of Pete the Cat books. These are at his level because he is only five. The set includes 5 books. They are all stored in a handy box. Pete the Cat is cool and the books are cute.

Great stories just a bit too wordy for young ones.
I teach students who live with the condition. They love the Pete the Cat stories from the big hardcover books that I brought. We read and sang it a lot. Most of them are able to memorize the word by word. I thought they would enjoy this edition as well. I thought it was wrong. Pete's Big Lunch is the only story that is long and wordy. I read each story and act on it with a shorter version. I'm planning to use these reading materials as they get older and have a longer attention span. The books can help with sight words recognition.

   Good buy for beginners
Pete the cat books are my daughter's favorite books and she just started kindergarten this year. They have small sentences and colorful illustrations. You receive five books. The pics have been attached. I keep a book on a white sheet so you can see that it is not a large book. Good size for kids to hold and read. The box that it comes with is strong enough to hold the wear and tear on the kids hands. The case is opened and closed with a round pad. Can't say how long the velcro will last with so many open and close sessions with kids.

Pete the Cat Cures kids Boredom!
These Pete the cat books are great. They are fun, colorful and celebrate children's favorite topics. This is a winner for early readers. We ordered the carry all pack of I can read books, Pete the Cat matching game, and Pete the Cat and the missing cupcakes game for our 5 year old nephew. He will love it! He loves cats and cupcakes. He will be able to keep busy during Covid-19. Every kid loves getting things in the mail, so we will mail it with other care package items. He will be learning, but not very well. He will be having a lot of fun with Pete the Cat.

   Very pleased!
The box is very sturdy and has a small handle. My kid will probably use the space holder to color on, so I like that. 5 books are exactly what they are described to be. They are in excellent condition. We didn't have any books in this collection, but it was perfect because it was reasonably priced.

   Wonderful Books to travel with.
My 3 year old granddaughter loves books. We read them over and over. It's easy to travel with.

Waste of Money for Learning How to Read
I bought this for my 4 year old who was learning to read. She was very interested in reading. The Pete the Cat books started reversing her interest. Her regular board books are better. The easy words are repeated in each Pete the Cat book. Your child won't be able to build on previously learned words like they would with a series like Dick and Jane. I came to the same conclusion after reviewing other I Can Read books. Children book authors are not experts in teaching children how to read. They don't know how to teach a child how to read. It's a waste of money.
