My Kids Giggle Through The Whole Thing
What a great story for preschoolers or young children, Mrs. O'Neill said. Pete the cat leaves his sheller for a scuba diving trip to find a seahorse. At any rate, the sea horse is following him around all the time. It's great to have your kids giggle at each page as Pete can't find the seahorse that is tickling him on the foot. It's great to see a book like this being targeted to 1st graders. However, this isn't all phonetic 1 and 2 syllable words, but the words and sentences repeat and are pretty simple. We love Pete, and this one is another early reader winner.

We Adore Pete the books! This one is especially cute because my boy loves to repeat it. Great for teaching children to read simple words, pictures and story lines.

   Cute!
Pete the cat goes diving for a seahorse and has a blast. The seahorse is on every page of the book, but Pete doesn't see it. The kids get very excited about finding the seahorse and trying to tell Pete it is right there. Personally i wish the animals were more accurately represented as seahorses rarely swim high in open water out of the safety of sea grass, said Dr. Goin.

Finally a real first grade reader
Although rated PG-13, the "cute story" will appeal to boys and girls. The Web site said it would refund customers who found the item "incorrectly." He has the knack of reading this by himself and takes pride in his accomplishment. Not only did they recommend it, but they also gave it five stars.

   Perfect for the kiddos
Such a cute book and written in a way that the kids I teach can all understand, despite learning and language delays, Mrs. Pearson said. It's great for little ones, too, said Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore.
