Book Overview

The most exhilarating Broadway storytelling in decades You must experience it yourself. - Ben Brantley, New York Times
A young orphan and his mates are shipped from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by evil King Zarboff. They know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captain's cabin, containing a precious, otherworldly cargo. At sea the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Star-catcher in training, who realizes that the trunk's precious cargo is starstuff, a celestial substance so powerful it must not fall in the wrong hands.
When the ship is taken over by pirate - led by the fearsome Black Stache, a villain determined to claim the trunk and treasure for his own dubious dreams of world domination - the journey quickly becomes fraught with danger threatening the lives of Molly and the boys.
This Tony-Award winning, magical and hilarious adventure at least reveals the origins of Peter Pan, The Lost Boys, Wendy, their piratical nemesis, Captain Hook - and a far-off place known as Neverland.

The list goes on in regards to why this show is not funny. Perhaps it is funny for someone below the ...
Unfunny, in joke form, many poop jokes, etc. It is perhaps funny for someone under the age of 10, but for the rest of us it is awful and very boring to pursue strong choices instead than artsy choices.

   Absolutely delightful!
Having just seen the stage edition, I was anxious to read some of the words I didn 't hear well. The story is wonderful, imaginative, fast moving and delightful. If you liked Peter Pan as a child or adult, you would love this play.

   Love this play!!!
I love this game! One of my favorite places to be easily one! It is a wonderful prequel to the Peter Pan story we all know and is so wonderful to see onstage and use for monologues and scenes!

Perfect companion when I am on the go!
Our church is doing this play production this summer and I don 't have to bring my real script when it comes on tha go.

   Beautiful
A gorgeous edition of a gorgeous show. I '' am currently in rehearsals for this play and I much prefer reading and studying from this script than the one provided to us by MTI. It is easier to read and carry with just one hand and easy to hold. Though not very much room in the margins, so not great for writing in tons of slogging.
