Don't waste your time and money
Don't waste your money. There were no butterflies in this book. The illustrations are not very clear. If you want quick identification and accuracy, look for a photographic book that has them listed by color. The book didn't give a geographic range for any species.

   Kind of Disappointed
I bought this for my child. She is always looking for insects and asking what they are. This book has drawings instead of pictures. It can be difficult to tell the name because they aren't labeled well. It can be difficult to tell the name of a creature. The pictures are accurate. If you own any Audobon Society books, you will be disappointed with this.

Great resource. My only wish is that it also ...
The resource is great. My only wish is that it included photos of metamorphis from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly in order to help identify if you see it in one of the other phases of development.

   A Bit Disappointed
There are pictures of butterflies inside the front. It was not as big as I thought and that's my fault. I need larger books.

   guide
It will be great for the grand kids to identify butterflies. Good drawings work better than photos.

   Doesn't include the caterpillar
The book is great for showing butterflies but not the caterpillar, which I was looking for. This is a great book for butterfly lovers.
