Excellent study tool

My son has already found a great use of this well written physics book. He is in an AP Physics class in the 10th grade this year and is able to use this book to explain the depth of the math associated with his homework. With the disaster known as the common core implimended into the schools, there seems to be a shortage of literature to study from. If you need to supplement more litterateur into your child's studies, I recommend the essential series books for dummies. It is an incredibly useful tool, and works like a subject specific encyclopedia, where they can match the table of contents and reference it in their exact needs. For my honest review, I did not receive any kind of discount or free item. I am just a consumer looking for the interest of my children's continued growth and knowledge base.

Physics for Dummies is Better

Nothing really wrong with it, the only difference between the essentials and the non-essential dummies books is the amount of explanation. The physics essentials for dummies has less information because the purpose is to review the basics simple. The book is great if you need a quick refresher after a semester of not having taken physics, but if you need a bit more than that, get the regular physics for dummies.

Though the book is not intended as an actual textbook, it provides an excellent overview of the major concepts in physics without diving deep into the mathematics that support the concepts. A good book for adults who want a refresher course from their college days or for current high school students who start their studies.
