Book Overview

(Faber Piano Adventures ). The 2nd Edition Level 2A Lesson Book follows Piano Adventures Level 1. The book opens with a Note Reading Guide and an introduction to eighth note rhythm patterns. Students work with 5-finger transposition, functional harmony, and musical phrases. Exploration of C, G, D and A major and minor 5-finger positions builds on intervallic reading skills that were introduced in the earlier level. Appealing repertoire reinforces key concepts and encourages students to explore musical expression through varied dynamics and tempos. Selections include well-known classics from the great composers and original compositions.

Piano Adventures Lesson Book is solid!
I have been teaching piano for ten years. I like the well-rounded piano instruction in the lesson book. Some of the supplemental materials I give my students are duplicated in their newer version. By the time most of my students complete level 2A, they have memorised all the major scales and the minor keys. The series is affordable and packed with songs that my students enjoy learning. Piano study is fun and progressive because of the massive efforts of Faber and others.

Songs are nice, first ones work well as a review
The lesson book level 1 is more exciting. Songs are nice, first ones work well as a review and move in a goog pace. I really like the songs in this book.

I love the Faber Piano Adventure books
I love the books about the piano. They provide an excellent range of musical styles and integrate music theory principles in a comprehensible manner to children. The Music Theory books are great, but I have found the lesson books to be sufficient for my needs. I've used a lot of piano teaching books over the years, but I like Faber the most.

   Moving up a level!
My child is excited to start on these books as he is moving up a level on the piano. We got both books for this level and are looking forward to hearing what she does next!

   Cover misprint
The cover of the book seems to have been cut poorly and it seems that the content of the book is okay. The price should be discounted if the product is damaged. I'm not happy about paying full price for a damaged book, but there is some comedy value in that.

   Great for students
If you have progressed through the lowe level books, this continues along with the learnings and understanding of the students.

   A good beginner lesson book
I bought this for my students when I taught piano. My students were able to learn and understand the piano song material. Everyone is different. The Bastien series is one that I worked out when I first started taking piano lessons. This is a structured piano book that works well with other material in the level series. For an opinion. It all comes down to preference, if you think your student can grasp the material which is more structured, then you should choose that. If you're not sure about buying this book, you can ask your local music store to compare it to other songbooks. Once you understand the song material from the book, you will know if it's the right choice for you. If you want to teach a good understanding of basic piano song structure, I recommend it.
