   Too cute for Andy Griffith
This is a young teen novel of sorts, even though the setting takes you back to the days of Leave it to Beaver and Andy Griffith. With a home pie shop and a cat named Lardo, one can't help but be entranced by this story. Nancy Drew style, there's a small mystery. The characters are just as vivid as watching a musical. Despite being a quick read, you will breathe a sigh of pleasure at the end, glad that you ventured out of your comfort zone and read something that was so delightful. It's worth picking it up when you' re ready for a quick read.

Great book for family reading time
I read this book to my kids. They loved the suspense and didn't want me to stop reading. We finished it in less than a week, and we couldn't put it down. The pie recipes are a big bonus. We' re going to make a few of the recipes from the book together. A body in a coffin, someone breaking into a little kid's bedroom at night, and some of the other things were scary for the kids, so they got four stars. Maybe I shouldn't have read it at night.

   Sweet as pie
This book was part of our book club and my kids and I enjoyed it. It is set in the 1950s, so some things were unfamiliar to them, but they really liked the story and mystery aspect of it. The math of some of the characters ages didn't seem to add up but it was a minor detraction from an otherwise delightful book. For a book club party with lots of tasty pie, this book is perfect.

   Good reading.
This book is very popular with Grandson. I bought two copies, one for home and one for grandma's house. We have read it over and over. A favorite.

Un relato lleno sabores y sentimientos.
A book is simple and entertaining. I like to cook and bake for my family. It makes me happy to know that my food makes them happy as they enjoy it. There is a story that shows a lot of positive feelings.

   What a sweet book
I liked this book from the beginning. I decided to read it myself after reading a review on a website. I teach fourth grade and am looking for a read. I'm going to read it with my students and see what extensions we can come up with. Maybe it's a Mother's Day Pie Cookbook?

   Book in bad condition
I wanted a hard copy of this book for my 5 th grade class. I bought a used book that was supposed to be in great shape. It was in bad shape. There were many pages that were folded and the dust jacket had dried food all over it. The jacket had to be thrown out.

   Fun Book!
I ordered this book from the fun fair in middle school. I read the book in a single day after remembering it. I'm 19 years old and still like the book. The descriptions of the pies are wonderful. Would recommend to anyone who loves mystery pies.
