It's Spike Lee...

I read a lot of reviews about the repititiveness of this book. If you don 't know Spike Lee and his background, then please baby, do your research or this is going over your head. Then I read a lot of reviews about how this teaches your baby to do bad things. If this book is the first time that your child has had the idea to not share, write on walls, splash in the bathtub, stick random things in their mouth, etc., you have a magical baby and should definitely stay away from introducing these things to him or her through this book. But these are all normal things my child has done that I have to ask him to stop doing. A lot of these reviews also missed the point that dispite all these bad things that the child has done, the mother still loves her regardless at the end of the day. I thought it was a cute book and my almost 2 year old son loves it. You can't read this in your Spike Lee voice!

I love this book because it looks like my babies. I think its important to have books that your little ones can relate to. I am a head start teacher and I try to invest books for children in diversity. They love these books. They love the authors. I bought several. I have bought several. Wear and tear of them over time to the do the wear and tear of them.

Never gets old for my little ones

When my child received this book as a gift, we received it immediately replaced it! Great for ages 1-6 years old. A perfect gift at age 1, as it grows with the child. My girls love the photos and the repetition of words. I love the repetition of the word please ''. It was one of the first books that my child learned to be prepared with because of the repetitive nature. Her little sister also gravitates to it for younger children, as her big sister always gravitates to it. I love that the artistry shows minority children and also focuses on difficult tantrum moments like leaving the playground, eating peas, not splashing in the tub, etc. It also has funny toddler moments like throwing a diaper in the playroom that girls always go crazy over, though we have been reading this book for years.

Our 2 year old loves it! For those saying it's boring, you have to read with inflection. The words baby and please are repeated on every page, but that is the writing style. I love reading it to my daughter and acting as if I'm performing on stage. For those saying that it teaches a bad message, it teaches a good message. Use it as a teachable moment, well, use it as a teachable moment. It's only ONE book and you can make it what you want as an adult. The illustrations are fantastic and the book is just fine for children. I highly recommend '' it.

18 month old loves it

My son drives me crazy, making me read this several times per day to him. He now collides with no scolds the little girl in the book. He loves the end when she gets kisses from her mama and also kisses the baby. Beautiful illustrations are included.

This is my 2nd time purchasing a copy of this board book, my second time purchasing a copy of this book. For some reason, they get really well-loved just. Both love the repetition of lines. After much handling when she was little, my oldest damaged the spine, so that she had to be tossed. My youngest, now 15 months old, was a nibbler and chewed on a lot of her books, including this board book, as well as '' I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont, '' Girirl of Mine by Jabari Asim and '' I Can Do It Too by Karen Baicker for her 1st Christmas back in December 2017.

An exhausted mom lays on the floor on the first page of the book. Her baby bursting with energy sits on top of her, bursting with energy. The clock in the corner reads 3am. The mother pleads with the baby to go back to sleep with the baby. What parents can't relate to this? I appreciated several other scenarios presented throughout the story, especially during the story. Since my toddlers have made me read this book every day since we received it, it helps that the book is personally enjoyable. I would highly recommend '' this book.

I think the book is adorable and the illustrations are the best part. As a Spike Lee fan, I know that Please Baby Please '' was a famous line from his first character Mars Blackmon from his first film, She's Gotta Have It. I think many people frustrated with the repetition of that line maybe just didn 't know that so they couldn t understand why it is being used in this way. In all, it is simple, sweet, cute and very well illustrated.
