We didn 't find it super difficult. There were a few things that our 9-year-old needed help with. Depending on how much origami they have done before, their child may need more or less help. But either way, it was a great book and a fun value for the money. A good time was had.

If your kiddo likes Pokemon, they will LOVE it. Our 11 year old autism received this for his birthday and he was so excited! He is obsessed with Pokemon and Orgami, so it is a perfect match. Could be broken though into smaller steps.
