Very informative and well-researched book. It's that important vocabulary words are placed in text boxes to discuss as you read. A lot of text features found as well, so great to reinforce those elements of a text.

Awesome book for building reading confidence!!
Derived From Web , May 1, 2022
The book is a good introduction to building reading confidence. The magazine story provides a lot of information about polar bears, where they live, what they eat and how they survive. Only a few of the words are truly sight words, or at least a child can sound them out fairly simply. The photos are truly amazing, bear expert Janet Grubb said. He was so happy he could read this entire book by himself, with minimal assistance from mom, she said.

Fun, Educational, and Interesting
Derived From Web , Apr 18, 2017
My son and I love the National Geographic readers, Raymond said. My son is an ESL learner and these books are great for learning English. He's a big fan of Polar Bears and watches on TV, but doesn't always understand the English language. This book really helps him improve his English reading while having fun at the same time, he said. I'm a huge fan of the format of these books, with lots of visual guides. We're on nine books already, and we're still going.
