I'm a sockaholic. It's true. I love to knit socks for friends and family. There are socks for every person. I have fallen in love with them all over again. The whole thing is a work of art. The team knits to new heights with their knitting. It's just that I'm starting with sock number 1. I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and trying new things.

I bought this book believing that if I found at least 12 patterns that I wanted to knit, this would be worth it. It was definitely worth it, Mr. Dhaliwal said. No wonder my sock drawer will be filled in no time! And, of course, there are those gorgeous patterns. The book is well-organized and has gorgeous pictures. Patterns all seem to be pretty straight forward, too. Techniques and equipment are covered in this video. I can't wait to get started, said Blair.

Lovely socks, but will be a challenge to knit them and not in a good way

Several other people have mentioned the book. It's small and doesn't contrast with the page color. I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to knit using this book. I will try making an enlarged photocopy so that I can actually read the entire pattern as I'm knitting. If that doesn't work, then this book becomes useless and becomes a paperweight. I understand that printing is expensive and that the publisher was probably trying to save money by squeezing more pages out of each issue. A free digital download of the book is available through the publisher.

Beautiful

The book is beautiful, too. However, the photography was gorgeous and many of the socks did not show the pattern well. Very detailed, the socks are very comfortable. The patterns are printed on very small paper. Great to get the creative juices flowing, but not very user-friendly. I forgot to include this with my original 3 stars. I had a change of heart, was considering returning it, he said. Many of the patterns are unique and look to be fun and challenging, even for the most difficult users. Solid colors are great too.

Obscure Directions

There are some excellent photos, but the technique is not widely used. None of them are so unless you know the authors suggested technique, you need to google the directions. You only know this if you type 'black script' into the search box and press 'Ctrl+J'. But if you think about it, the first question you should ask is how did you get to use a Turkish cast on Figure -Eight Caston or Judy's Magic Caston? The charts are a little better with the exception of those symbols without directions as in SCO2PO which is not on the abbreviations page.

Amazon said I preordered the book and couldn't wait to get it. The customer service has exceeded my expectations, Mr. Dhaliwal said. The patterns are available in three styles: with toe up, cuff down, and a variety of heel methods. These are not beginner sock patterns, but rather, are designed for people who have a lot of patience. I only wish each pattern included a short description of the designer and an introduction to the magazine. I think I could just sit and read it from the front to back, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

I'm not a big fan of the magazine, and I'm not a big believer in the free market. Type was too small to read and the appeal was lost. He wishes the background paper had been white, not colored. Even the most difficult to read charts can be difficult to predict.

Gorgeous patterns, nonsensical sizing

I'll start by saying that I loved nearly every pattern in this, from an aesthetic point of view, and most of the others are well written. There is no standardized sizing guide for the book, which is why the individual designers chose to leave it to the individual designers as far as I could tell. If you're willing to put in the work, the patterns are stunning and there are a lot of them.
