Book Overview

Every little girl's graduation from diapers to the potty is always a very important moment--and one to make both parents and toddlers proud In The Potty Book, Hannah needs to have her diapers changed so she can go out and play. Then mom and dad bring home a big box, and Hannah is anxious to open it up and see what's inside. Is it a rocking chair? A bed for Teddy? No, it's a potty--which means that it's time for Hannah to graduate from her diapers. This gentle and humorous little story is charmingly illustrated and told in verse. Little girls will enjoy looking at the pictures and having the story read to them. Meanwhile, they'll start getting the idea that it's time for them to grow up, exactly like Hannah. So that at last, they'll be able to say--I'm off the potty

   Love a good potty book
Love a good potty book but this seems to have a lot of unnecessary fillers like wondering what is in the box her mom has, hypothesizing what it could be, calling Grandma, etc. It could use more pages where she is sitting on the potty or more simple pages of steps to go potty. Since it is potty, it may be more suitable for an older toddler 2+ who is lengthy training. My recently 18m old prefers Potty by Leslie patricelli, it is more concise and simpler illustrations.
   Best potty book for girls
This is my daughter's favorite potty book, and I think it is the one that really helped her to feel ready for the potty train. Even though my 23-month-old daughter uses the potty ring and dislikes the potty chair, accidents can occur on the floor or pants and that it is okay to keep trying! Very encouraging and very cute!!! The illustrations are also well-done and tell the story all on its own. Side note about the page where Hannah's parents and teddy bear eat chocolate chip cookies, why do most children's books have families eating cookies for snacks? Why are they not depicted as having fruit or something healthy? !
HARD training is Potty - Training is HARD - work! I am going to go as hard for my little one as it is for me! I am trying to arm myself with as much help as I possibly can. I find that my little one enjoys listening to books. So, I have been looking for the best ones to help me. I would rate this very high- it has great illustrations, rhyming and addresses different feelings your little one has many experience while potty training!

The book really helped my 2 year old start potty training. She is now 3 and even though using the toilet is no longer a big deal, she still enjoys reading and referencing that book. Would recommend for anyone trying to potty train a little girl who loves books as much as mine.
   Daughter loves this!
We are working on a Potty training and let me tell you that my daughter absolutely loves this book! The first couple of times she showed little to no interest, but after that she now asks for her book every time she sits on the potty. The images of the little girl sitting on the potty and showing her even accidents were very helpful. My daughter was able to see that it is okay to have an accident.
   My 2yo's favorite potty book!
My 2yo's favorite potty book! My 2yo's favorite potty book! '' She asks me to read it over and over again. It is a cute story talking about the things she can now do that she is bigger and invites the reader to try the Potty too. I love that the wording is still encouraging when she has an accident. It does not try to shame it at all. My only complaint is that I wish that it was a board book.

This is a little story about a cute girl who is ready to start potty training. The book binding and pages are strong enough to stand up to the abuse of my two-year-old. Since then, it has become one of her favorite stories and I'm fairly certain that it played a very important role in sparking her interest in bathroom training. If you have a toddler girl who is ready for the potty, this sweet little story is the perfect book to help create and maintain interest.
Great book, 2 year old starting using potty after reading it!
This book is great. My 2 year old daughter loved it and wanted to read it over and over for the last few days. She cheers for the little girl in the book Yay Hannah! '' Most importantly, we started reading it a week ago, and she started making her dolls pretend to go to the potty. Today she told me that she wanted to potty, and then went! ! We hadn 't even set up her children's potty yet - she went straight to the big one. This book taught her to go potty in a week without any other potty training other than encouragement from us. Wow! Wow!
One of the best potty books
We have struggled for a while with Potty - training our daughter and being an avid night - night story reader, we decided that this book would be a good pick. We were just right. This story goes through Hannah's transition from diapers to undies and includes how her diaper has been with her for so long. My favorite part is how the author shares Hannah's sense of accomplishment when she finally uses the potty. My daughter has used this book immensely in our potty training journey, even reciting : I run, jump and play. I don 't want a wet diaper to get in my way. I am proud of myself! When she uses the potty, she uses the potty. One of the best potty books we have picked oit.
   Super cute, good quality
We love to read this book. We love to read it! This book is not for children that play with books and put them in their mouths.
