A Great All-Around Study Book.

I have used several of these types of study books before, but think that this is one of the better ones. It provides good review summaries of grammar, good learning exercises and also has answers at the back of the book so that the user can check his progress.

Approach by aEsy to learn. The degree of difficulty progresses at a comfortable pace. The app is great... it is coordinated with the book. I highly recommend '' this product.

I also use the app and is great for pronunciation. Disclosure : I use this book in addition to Babel. Not sure if I would understand it as well if it was the only thing I did. But... it fills in all the gaps I had from Babbel.

It is a great book with a lot of exercises. It has a basic section on good Italian. Sections 2 and 3 enable, in more depth, to learn grammar. The only problem are the sections 4 and 5, which seem to be an afterthought. There was some additional info, but not much. At times, the exercises in these sections were bad, and at times they were quite good. The author also did not check enough for errors and typos. It was a little frustrating. Thus, taking a star off.

The best Italian book

Hands down a great book for self-study. The book is divided into 5 sections : conversation, grammar, verbs, sentences and problem solving. I love the organization of material in each section. My only critique is that I want to skip sections and learn to learn grammar's verbs in conjunction with conversation. I, however, think that teaching in consecutive order still gives you a solid foundation to teach yourself. I don 't mind the tissue-thin pages because I prefer a light book to carry. Highly recommended!
