Cannot say enough about this excellent resource!
I am half-way through the book and already I can 't tell you how much this book has already changed my life. The writing is excellent, as are the insights lent. The reflection exercises have made me ponder and meditate on thoughts I had never considered before. They have reminded me of God's immense love for me as a child of God, which makes discerning his will much easier in many ways. As I said, half-way through and already getting a clearer picture of what God wants me to do about a very specific situation in my life. Don 't hesitate to purchase this book!

   Read "Discernment of Spirits" instead!
This book contains good information and is well written, but it does not help much in learning practical ways to discern in your everyday life. If you're looking for clear and helpful discernment advice, I would urge you to read Timothy Gallagher's book Discernment of Spirits by Charles Gallagher. It provides clearer and more personally identifiable ways to understand how to discern God's will in your life, how to deepen your spiritual life and relationship with God and how to understand the stirrings of your heart and mind.

Fantastic book in helping to discern life's decisions-- Highly Recommend!
I heard this as an audio book, narrated by the authors. Bobby Angel, Jackie and Mike Schmitz share their own life experiences with making big decisions. They connect these examples to the 5 steps that the book leads you to consider your life choices in an organized but God-centered way. I feel like God's Hand was working when I stumbled across this book at the time I needed to make a big decision. The book was so wonderful that I bought a copy for my Godson, who is going to college soon. I have recommended this book to many people and I can not recommend it highly enough!

   Wonderful
This is a wonderful book for anyone who needs help to make a difficult decision. I have always loved that this book was centered through the Catholic perspective, which aligned with my faith. This book is great to read as a guide because it includes questions to ask yourself as you read each story from the author's life experiences. I also loved that after each chapter there were Bible verses quoted relating to the specific discussion topic. It is truly a mind-opening and heart-warming book. I highly recommend! ''

   Elemental Hermeneutics
The book contains many elemental explanations and personal examples that do not have much relevance to a serious and Catholic reader with a formal background and preparation. Many readers can come to their own conclusions based on facts, without the writer of a book leading them to themselves...

   Accessable, even for spiritual newbies
This book is an easy to read and edifying. Though I am not new to Ignatius'rules of discernment, this book still had some small jewels of wisdom and application that helped me grow, and is written in a style that motivates me to go deeper. The authors do a great job of focusing the focus on the relationship with the Lord instead of rules and techniques, so that the rules and techniques serve the relationship instead of obscuring it. Definitely accessible for older high school and college students who want to know God's voice and make important decisions. The examples from the authors'lives do a great job of showing the different ways and time tables that God uses and why even long waits come from God's love. About this book there is nothing formal nor overly stuffy. Very accessible for those who may be a little new to spiritual life.

   Incredible
Fr. I absolutely love this book and I totally love it. Mike is very much a collector of emotions. Bobby and Jackie are also on the list. I was battling, and stumbled upon this book and as I read the pages, I felt God speaking to me. Now you need to say this right. And I know, thank you!
