It might be better to read JPII's encyclical on the Rosary instead
Derived From Web , Nov 23, 2019
This book is good for people who are familiar with the Rosary for the first time, especially with its guided meditations. I would not recommend it to the more scholarly reader, as it is written in a very vernacular form. There were some analogies that Sri drew and things he wrote that did not seem quite theologically correct. Much of the content was borrowed from John Paul II's encyclical Rosarium Virginis Mariae. In all honesty, I recommend reading this and past writings by other saints and popes only.

A Most Helpful Explanation
Derived From Web , Nov 19, 2019
Edward Sri's book, Praying the Rosary Like Never Before, is a fresh, engaging and enjoyable explanation of how to use the rosary as a prayer tool. Not being a son of Rome myself, I approached this book with a degree of skepticism, but the deeper I got into it, the greater my appreciation for this form of devotion.

Easy to understand and enjoyable to read!
Derived From Web , Nov 10, 2018
This was my first book by Edward Sri that I read. Today I finished his other book, Walking With Mary! He also explains how praying the Hail Mary is not worshiping her and how it is a Jesus-centered prayer and has the decades explained and explains why they are important and can be applied to our lives. What is also neat is that it has study questions at the end of each chapter, so that this book would be great for anyone in a Catholic Bible study group or in RCIA. I came to the church that Easter weekend and while I was in RCIA, I wish the RCIA teacher had focused a little more on certain subjects and I think that having us read this book could have helped a lot.

Good resource for Catholic "newbies", cradle Catholics, and others fascinated by this ancient prayer
Derived From Web , May 25, 2018
Easy to read and a great resource wherever you are in your relationship with Mary and her prayer, the Rosary. The scriptural passages for each Hail Mary bead is very well done and helps me to think about different aspects of each mystery. Yes, the Rosary does take longer to pray, but its what we are asked to do. During the 1st Saturday - devotions I use the expanded reflections on each of the mysteries to do as Mary asked. The text is really good and long enough to allow one to reflect for at least 15 minutes on each of the 20 mysteries. It also has some good suggestions for dealing with a wandering mind while saying the rosary and explaining why we pray to Mary.

Excellent!
Derived From Web , Jan 27, 2018
I love this book so far. In his understanding of the problems that people have when they pray the Rosary, author is down to Earth. The discussion questions are good and the meditations I have read so far are spot on! He uses the Scripture to make connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament, so that mystery becomes really a mystery as you pray. Highly recommended!

I enjoy his speaking and writing style, I'm glad he's written about the Rosary
Derived From Web , Jan 23, 2018
I heard Edward Sri as a guest on EWTN and on his own programs, and when I heard about this book, I knew it would be useful as he breaks everything down for me to make it more easy to grasp. I love the Rosary, but sometimes need some motivation to stay focused on it, as I continue to read this book, I am hopeful that I will be more devoted to praying regularly.
