Does What it Needs to Do

The Prealgebra Solutions manual is a great companion to the book Prealgebra. Since it is always nice to be able to check the answers, the Prealgebra Solutions Manual is really a must have. While many math books include the solutions at the end of the book, the authors of Prealgebra decided not to do so. Instead, they chose to solve sample problems in the text and let the students work out the exercises on their own -- without looking for solutions in the back of the book, I suppose.

Yeah, buy this too when you buy Prealgebra, which I also gave five stars. There is a lot of value in seeing fully worked and explained solutions, even if you have already gotten the right answer. The solutions often provide insight into the way a top mathematician might think.

I purchased this book for my 6th grader. There are different difficulty levels so that children get used to move from difficult problems to easy ones. They are more thinking problems that ask kids to stop and think thoroughly. There are many examples of math Counts and AMC problems, too. Excellent source for kids who love challenging math - practice.
