Practicle Knowledge
Derived From Web , Mar 26, 2020
I was looking for a book like this. I've been a prepper for a long time. The author gave me many more tips on how to deal with a longer occurring disaster period and reinforced my knowledge. It could be the best reference book you own. The game controller in Rhode Island.

Embarrassing
Derived From Web , Mar 10, 2020
The best function of this book is that it can be used to assist in fire making in an emergency. A person with common sense could write a book. World War Z is a good source to reference for survival. I was not entertained at all. Don't buy it, it's a waste of 9 bucks for "Fire Paper".

A book is not useful. The author tells you why you should be prepared, but there is no way to do it. This is not a survival guide. Not a picture or diagram. Better off with a military survival guide.

Very weak. Not a good buy.

There is nothing new here. He doesn't tell you how to survive should the day come.

Book is just a money grab.
Derived From Web , Sep 8, 2017
It was a waste of time. A list of things anyone with half a brain would have for a survival situation is contained in this book. The suggestion for security is to buy a gun, nothing about how to use or maintain it, and the suggestion for collecting water is to store it ahead of time. This book knowledge that anyone who has thought about preparing already has, is just an attempt to get your money.

For the first time in the survivalist world, this book is for you. There is a guidecheck list of what supplies you should start stocking up on. Information on bartering items and community living. Some survivalists info gets repeated. Good read and will be glad to have a copy when the event happens.

More of a detailed check list, not as deep as I had thought. The book is a good guide to help identify the issues particular to your situation, so if you want details on how to do something specific, you'll have to research it on the Web.

NOT "Long-Term" and author should stick to subjects he knows!
Derived From Web , Apr 1, 2017
I don't usually write book reviews, but I feel like this is important. The book has been written off the top of the author's head. It's not long term survival at all. I have a lot of questions that I am searching for answers to, but there are areas that I am quite knowledgeable in and I found a number of careless errors in the book. I don't trust the author's recommendations in areas that I don't know about. Most information isn't detailed enough to be a guide for survival. I've seen other reviews compliment Mr. Cobb on other books he has written, but he needs to do better research before writing books that people might depend on for survival, or he needs to stick with what he knows.
