New York City is known for many things: its urban, high-rise landscape, the bustling atmosphere, and busy business and tourist spots. Pretty tree-lined avenues, cute shops, and serene getaways do not immediately come to mind for this cosmopolitan city, but they are there. Acclaimed Instagrammer Siobhan Ferguson, author of prettycitylondon, now turns her discerning eye to the Big Apple itself. Travel along with her as she uncovers the hidden gems--the sweet, secluded alleys, the fantastic markets, the artisan boutiques--that New York has to offer, and reveals the beautiful, the quaint, and the downright pretty scattered among the urban landscape of the world's most famous city. Stunning photographs alongside fantastic tips to take your own pictures and create a prettycitynewyork experience for yourself make this the perfect book for visitors on foot and armchair travelers alike.

Stunning eye candy

This is an interesting book. It is a really beautiful guide to Manhattan storefronts as well as inside shots. The photos of this city are gorgeous. My only regret was that they didn't include Harlem. This book is excellent for store owners or those who wish to become a store owner.

Not enough large pictures

This book is about NYC. Is okay. The pics that the author took are pretty but there are not enough pictures. I would have liked to see more pictures.

New York City is Pretty, yes
Derived From Web , Sep 11, 2021
I was expecting to discover New York's beautiful places. I was not expecting a lot of information. I will make pretty cards out of the pictures. I wanted to know more about making a planned trip to New York a little more pretty, and more of a way to explore New York. It was not helpful for my purposes.

Pretty New York...the name says it all
Derived From Web , Aug 30, 2021
The book is interesting because it is a collection of store front pics and hidden corners of New York. This is not a typical travel book. You won't see pictures of the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State. You will find a lot of beautiful pictures of places and corners in the city, but only if you spend a lot of time in it.

More information needed. Poorly structured.

Why weren't the caption with the photos? The photos are floating on their own with no information about where they were taken. The pictures are nice to look at, but could have been better structured.

A book that captures the heart of NYC
Derived From Web , Dec 26, 2020
This book is filled with all of the places we love and it is a must read for anyone who loves NYC. Tourists looking for stock photos of the Empire State Building won't appreciate this. Anyone who loves New York City should buy this book. The photos are beautiful and a great addition to a coffee table. Signed by a former New Yorker.

It was very pretty BUT..DISAPPOINTED.
Derived From Web , Dec 18, 2019
Too many pictures of tiny shops, inside and out. There are brownstones. It was a duplicate picture and it had different lighting. The shots are the same. There are not many photos of downtown New York. It doesn't say where you were, no skyscrapers or anything similar. This is a translation of the words "no statue of liberty, no energy at all." There are possible places in the city where images could have been taken, but the heart is not included in the book.
