This book keeps kids engaged and has a good message, encouraging girls to be confident and do all kinds of things without telling them that they can 't also be princesses and wear dresses, which many little girls don t want to hear. Whether or not you are interested in the message, any child can enjoy the story and the rhymes, if you are interested in the message, it is an added bonus!

This is such a kind of beautiful book with a cute story. I loved the illustrations ''. My five year old great daughter likes to play in her princess dresses. As we read it, I showed her how every book needs a author, an illustrator and a publisher before it comes to her! The author, Savannah Guthrie, is one of my favorite hosts of the NBC Today show.

One of my very favorite books! Bought for my 2 12 year old granddaughter, who is obsessed with her princess dress and her mother is very anti-traditional princess '' everything! I loved hearing it and my granddaughter loved reading it. Can 't recommend it highly enough!
