The #1 New York Times bestselling account of a neurosurgeon's own near-death experience--for readers of 7 Lessons from Heaven.
Thousands of people have had near-death experiences, but scientists have argued that they are impossible. Dr. Eben Alexander was one of those scientists. A highly trained neurosurgeon, Alexander knew that NDEs feel real, but are simply fantasies produced by brains under extreme stress. Then, Dr. Alexander's own brain was attacked by a rare illness. The part of the brain that controls thought and emotion--and in essence makes us human--shut down completely. For seven days he lay in a coma. Then, as his doctors considered stopping treatment, Alexander's eyes popped open. He had come back. Alexander's recovery is a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere. While his body lay in coma, Alexander journeyed beyond this world and encountered an angelic being who guided him into the deepest realms of super-physical existence. There he met, and spoke with, the Divine source of the universe itself. Alexander's story is not a fantasy. Before he underwent his journey, he could not reconcile his knowledge of neuroscience with any belief in heaven, God, or the soul. Today Alexander is a doctor who believes that true health can be achieved only when we realize that God and the soul are real and Read More chevron_rightIt takes about 3 Hours and 52 minutes on average for a reader to read Proof Of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey Into The Afterlife. and even one of our sweet dogs who had passed
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I was preparing for how to deal with my husband's death from brain cancer and found this book to be the most convincing I've ever read. The author assured me that he was going to a good place. He told me 15 days before he died that he was almost there. I was comforted by the fact that it didn't seem possible to look at him. His statements were made more convincing by this book.

The author reassured me that he was going to a good place. He told me 15 days before he died that he was almost there and that he felt great. For anyone considering buying this I have a question for you:
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2021
Is it possible that Eben Alexander has the answers to life? I was interested in the story until I saw how cruel he was in his social media postings. I wouldn't post about how much I hate certain people on the Internet if I saw heaven and the afterlife. This guy doesn't follow what he says in his book. He wants us to be one consciousness and to love all. Why hate anyone? Why hate if that is what you experienced? I view him as fraudulent. There are many people out there. My quest for knowledge is not going to be stopped.

Proof of writing for a living.
Derived From Web , Dec 2, 2018
It is proof of writing for a living. He leaves a lot of the explanation for his illness for you to guess about and it's stretching his credibility. It is my only recommendation to stay away. You don't need the Koolaid.

Disappointed.

The author doesn't discribe heaven well. He talks about how great a neurosurgeon he was. The book talks about everything, but not the title. Disappointed.
