   Wonderful and fun book about a pumpkin's lifecycle!
What a beautiful illustrated book! I read it to my pre-school class and were totally engaged the whole time. You learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin through this charming story of a boy who named his pumpkin Jack ''. After Halloween, the Jack '' begins to rot and goes through the seasons until his seeds sprout in the spring re-starting all over again. I think my students liked that he had a name-in fact, a student told me that he named his own pumpkin Jack! ''. I followed by showing the preschoolers my pumpkin bushes outside and then we looked more closely at vines, flowers, mature pumpkins and baby green pumpkins. We also explored the interiors of several pumpkins. This book is great on its own but is also wonderful as a foundation for further learning and exploration. Book is fun!

   Great Choice
As a grandmother to a 4 year old girl and 8 year old boy, this was a refreshing story about the life cycle of the pumpkin. It not only taught them the science of the pumpkin's life cycle, but also came in a great time of year during the fall of the year.

   Best pumpkin book we found!
Oh yes, this is a fabulous Halloween and fall season story. I noticed that books in the last years have tended to be female characters, making up for all the years when girls were absent in children's lit. I now appreciate finding boy-characters who combine the best of caring, outdoor - loving, energetic and thoughtful features. The art work is gorgeous. Such a beautiful ending, I won 't spoil it for you. Truly fabulous! I would say that this story fits perfectly for ages 3-8. I ordered it in paperback, but I'm going to see if I can find a hardcover version that is not too expensive.

It could be a good reading for a first grader to do on their own, unless they are small readers.

   Pumpkin Jack is a great book
This book I read to my STEM classes and then he had our own pumpkin jack to watch Decompose. They didn 't want me to throw Jack away, but he was starting to smell the room.

   Great book but packaging department ruined book
We love this book, but the item came bent in half and the pages ruined. This was a new brand book and my son was so excited for it. So upset when packaging with the lack of care.

   Such a wonderful read!
She has been crazy about it since then, which was about a month ago sept 25, 2019. It is October and the best and perfect Halloween book to read to your children. I found it just over the moon, to buy it on Amazon!
