What a Bakery!
Derived From Web , Jul 8, 2020
I' ve fallen in love with the book. 3 friends are trying to start a cupcake company. Melanie is the owner of the cupcake bakery. Tate is a financial genius. Oz and Marty are Melanie's sous chefbaker and the old codger who needed something to keep him on his game. Melanie seems to get involved in a lot of tight spots and this book shows how much she cares for her friends.

Cupcake Bakery series

Mel, the owner of a cupcake bakery, helps the police find murderers in the Cupcake Bakery Mystery series. I enjoy reading the books in the series and feel like I have met up with friends again, as they are such good books. Rene, Mel's friend, was found dead after she acted out of character while working on her latest art project. She was able to identify the person who killed her. The story has a great plot and is a little lighter mystery. There are cupcake recipes at the end! I recommend this series to people who like mysteries.

Feels like a visit with family
Derived From Web , Jun 7, 2020
I will buy this cozy mystery series instead of waiting for the library to lend it to me. Spending time with friends is always enjoyable. It's like coming home again. The book was good but not as compelling as previous ones. Maybe it was because the mystery was easy to solve, or maybe it was because there was limited engagement between the two. I figured out the murderer early on, but had a different reason for the murder. The Chief Rosen involvement was dropped quickly. The storyline had potential but it ended too quickly. Looking forward to seeing how Oz remains part of the crew and the impact of a baby on the bakery.

Cupcakes and Murder!
Derived From Web , May 7, 2020
Pumpkin Spice Peril is the twelfth book in the Cupcake Bakery Mystery series. Melanie is getting ready for her wedding, Joe is getting ready for his wedding, and Tate is getting ready for his wedding. It was determined that the local glass artist who loved the bakery's Pumpkin Spice cupcakes died from poisoning. Was it the husband who did it? Why did anyone do that? Questions are still unanswered as each person is cleared. Since the cupcakes were the last thing she ate, Melanie andAngie are under suspicion. Melanie decided to investigate on her own when business started to decline. This mystery is written well and will keep you guessing. I will not tell you what happiness is in this story. You will have to read the book to find out. There are cupcake recipes in the back of the book, an additional bonus. I recommend this book to everyone.

Book #12 in the amazingly enjoyable Cupcake Bakery cozy mystery series!
Derived From Web , May 3, 2020
Another winner in the cupcake bakery series is Jenn McKjnlay! This series has everything I love about cozy mysteries- likable characters, family, friendship, and an intriguing cozy mystery. What's not to love? The cupcake franchise is owned by Melanie, Angie and Tate. Mel, Joe, and Tate are married and expecting a baby. There are happy times! Rene, one of Mel's friends, wants the bakery to make cupcakes for the art exhibit he is having. Rene is acting a bit crazy as Mel meets with him. Rene ends up dead. It is a sad event that affects Mel a lot. You feel right at home with the characters and they are brought to life. There are a few light moments in the book. Well done, it was enjoyable.
