Book Overview

In this follow-up to the New York Times bestselling Pinkalicious, a young girl remains true to herself and discovers that pink isn't only a pretty color, but also a powerful one.

While everyone knows Pinkalicious's favorite color is pink, the bullies at her new school don't agree. All the girls are wearing black, painting in black, and making fun of Pinkalicious for loving pink. Pink is for babies and stinks they tell her. Pinkalicious feels left out until she learns that pink can be a powerful color, and that the most important thing is to be yourself.

Pinkalicious stars in five more picture books--Pinkalicious, Goldilicious, Silverlicious, Emeraldalicious, and Aqualicious--as well as I Can Reads, doodle books, and more.

   Choose a different Pinkalicious story
The girls who only wear black make fun of Pinkalicious because she has a pink nose, one says. In "The Princess Diaries," she meets a girl who likes purple.

   Hats off to Purplicious!!!
I recently read Purplicious to my daughter and she loved the story.. As I was reading I am who I am and I like pink, she said. My daughter responded that she likes pink too, Melissa. As I read the remaining days, my daughter had a response for each of the days. It's just that people get lonely, Tunick said. Feeling teased, is not an easy thing to accept, so how can you expect to turn the page and find resolution? There is the progression, being teased, looking at yourself, possibly questioning, and then I am, who I am!

   Great
I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. This book shows girls how to be true to themselves, even when the world is against them. It was a popular story among the girls in her class, because she liked the color pink and the rest of the girls in her class did not, it said. At first, pinkalicious stood her ground and told the girls that her brother liked pink too. This story shows the mom and dad and brother helping her pinkly feel better, and then she discovers a friend in art that loves pink and shows her why. It's great for kids to read or to be read to. Even though he attends school, Parsons laments, "I'm not that good."

   Nice Story
My daughter and I went to see Pinkalicious and we really enjoyed it so I got her a book for Easter, she said. In this installment, Pinkalicious is facing unpopularity as everyone is saying the color pink is out and black is in. In the end, she learns it's ok to like pink. There are three illustrations by Frank Trejo and two by Alfred Lord. There is a story to this, too, about a woman who works with illusionist William Penn. I would recommend this book to anyone.

   so-so
It's just that I was expecting it to be more like the other book. Not as light hearted as that one. The message was good but I realize it is not brought up for reading very often from my 5 year old daughter.

   puplicious!
Very quickly and in excellent condition, Mr. Dhaliwal said. The book is a great read for little girls, especially for those who are 3-6.

   Granddaughter's First Birthday
The book was inspired by the Madame Alexander Purplicious Artist Doll. I am an artist and wanted to have something to remind her of me, Raymond said. I think I may start a collection of dolls and books.

   Highly disappointed
It's one of my daughter's favorite books. What a great read, Gillian. The tone was completely different and overall the book was boring, Hughes said. Yes, you can lose some, but you win some.

   Cute
Cute story about pressure and being true to yourself, but I dont love how hard they play the idea of pink being for babies and sissies. 0 3171616 This is a great story about pressure and being true to yourself, but I dont love how hard they play the idea of pink being for babies and sissies.

   Absolute Garbage
The book is the worst of the entire series. She also tells her friends that mean girls tease her and bully her the entire book. Like that, it's all right there. It's seriously trash, McCarthy said. It's just that they put it on the bonfire." Don't waste your time or your money introducing this kind of behavior to your children, Dr. Goin added. In the end, neither side will get what it wants most out of the deal. The mean girls just continue to be jerks, Raymond said. What a lesson! The book has received a lot of negative comments, too. It's just that terrible." It's disappointing.
