Book Overview

The quadrivium-the classical curriculum-comprises the four liberal arts of number, geometry, music, and cosmology. It was studied from antiquity to the Renaissance as a way of glimpsing the nature of reality. Geometry is number in space; music is number in time; and cosmology expresses number in space and time. Number, music, and geometry are metaphysical truths: life across the universe investigates them; they foreshadow the physical sciences.

Quadrivium is the first volume to bring together these four subjects in many hundreds of years. Composed of six successful titles in the Wooden Books series-Sacred Geometry, Sacred Number, Harmonograph, The Elements of Music, Platonic & Archimedean Solids, and A Little Book of Coincidence-it makes ancient wisdom and its astonishing interconnectedness accessible to us today.

Beautifully produced in six different colors of ink, Quadrivium will appeal to anyone interested in mathematics, music, astronomy, and how the universe works.

   Great Book
I've read all the books, and I love this one. Great book, full of great information and illustrations. Both the Echo and the Sciencia came with defects. At the top of the page, I found a photo of the child. Also, be careful with the bookbinding material, which is made out of will scratch and get scuffed easily.

Great books, perfect for your coffee table or to ...
They are great for your coffee table or to read. And speaking of font, I must admit that I have hit middle age.

Certainly one of the most Beautiful books I have ever owned
The book is also available in the "American Masters" series, "American Masters" series by Brian Baldacci. I've had many, many friends and family members read it. The topics are layer by layer: math, science, geodesy, astronomy, mind-boggling, and so forth.

   Magnificent
I'm in love with the second book, The Last Days of the Jedi Order. The book is gorgeously designed, with gorgeous typography and a generous helping of decorative touches. This is bookmaking at its highest. Quadrivium and Sciencia deserve to be prominently displayed and frequently perused, Garton said.

Really appreciate the little books in one big 'n.
I already had three of the books included here but felt it was worthwhile to have them all in one volume, Roving said.

Fantstic gift for a student, or mystic...anyone really!
Buy multiple copies of any one of these and you will always have a gift to give someone. I have given it as a present to friends and it has not been a great one.

   Exceeded Expectations
Great introduction to each topic, said Dr. Steve Peters, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California. Each page has a photo of the child. Really good work, said Blair. The content is shallow, but good enough to connect everything, Hubach said. Recommend. Brand new carpet, would buy again.
