100+ quick and delicious diabetes-friendly recipes

If you have diabetes, watching what you eat is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. With the help of the American Diabetes Association, Quick & Easy Diabetic Recipes For Dummies offers 100+ healthy, diabetes-friendly recipes and meal planning ideas-without sacrificing taste. Plus, Quick & Easy Diabetic Recipes For Dummies provides expert tips on the types of food you should keep stocked in your kitchen, advice on healthy cooking techniques, ways to lower fat and cholesterol, and most importantly, what to eat with diabetes.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of adults worldwide affected by diabetes has quadrupled since 1980 to 422 million. Nearly one in 11 people in the United States now have diabetes or prediabetes, and unhealthy eating can worsen the condition and hinder efforts at better management. While those numbers are alarming, the good news is that you can cook and eat your way to better health-and this book makes it easy

- Make more than 100 tasty recipes, many of which cook in 30 minutes or less

- Get the total grams of carbohydrates and other nutrients per serving

- Discover ways to keep a healthier kitchen

It's never been simpler-or tastier-to keep up with your diabetes management.

Not the book for small servings
I cook only meals for myself and all recipes in this book make 8 servings or more. I've been waiting for recipes for 2 or even 4, but 8 is a bit much. I return the book.

   Save Your Money
There are way too many recipes that I should never eat. For example, there are too many pasta recipes. I can have some of it in very small quantities, but I get hungry! Barely any pictures to even show you what things should look like, plus the print is too small. I want to keep things simple. This book goes on and on and really frustrates me.

Good book, depending on your taste.
For me, I found the recipes slightly over the top. It is a good book, just not the meals I would like to cook for myself.

   Very pleased with my purchase!
Definitely tasty sounding recipes. I have not yet cooked from the book because I received it just now, but it beat another diabetic cookbook that I recently received. Good, simple recipes with good ingredients are available. To the point, but here and there with a few color photos. I have tried lots of things that I want to try. Make sure to read the Count of Cars on each.

Don't buy this for your Dad
For my dad, I bought this. He found that the recipes require a lot of ingredients that a typical old guy does not keep in a rural area. It is now mine. )

A book that deserves its 5-star rating
This book has a large collection of recipes that can be eaten by those with diabetes and those of us who need just a book to guide us in healthy cooking. Highly recommended.

   Easy to understand.
I bought this book hoping to find some recipes that my husband will eat. The recipes contained in this book will not even make it to his fork. He is not healthy for anything. I think that the recipes are pretty simple, and if you have a health person in your family who is not afraid of eating diabetic, this is a good book.
