   Too political
I didn't like this book very much. The author uses any excuse she can to bash Donald Trump and never gives any reasons as to why one shouldn't drink alcohol other than it's alcohol which we all already know. I decided to stop drinking before I read this, but it wouldn't have made a difference if I hadn't. I brought it back.

   Don't waste your money
The science of alcohol on the body is the most beneficial thing in the book.

   Just okay
The book is not terrible. I stopped reading about half way through when I was bored. Quit lit books are repetitive and this one is no exception. The author is a hotshot with a drinking problem. It's Meh.

   Always blaming everyone else.
This book was a waste of time and money and I want my money back. I have the option to drink or not. The blame game was filled with this rant.

This book will make you think!
This book will absolutely change the way you think about your relationship with alcohol, weather or not it feels like a problem. I love the way Holly approaches addiction in a non shaming and loving way. I definitely recommend this book for any womxn who is "sober curious" or just wants to learn more about alcohol and how it is presented in our culture.

Cringe alert! Author and editor live in a bubble, mistaking identity politics for intellectual depth
I relate to the author. Her core points are that AA is outdated and that our culture is too focused on drinking. The presentation of these assertions, wrapped in a shell of identity politics with no sympathy for men who suffer from alcoholism and also don't vibe with AA, made the rhetoric childish and mean. AA is not an issue of male or female. Almost half of boomers believe in God. Less than half of the younger generation do. AA's Christian-focused tenets and obsession with humility have more to do with them than race or gender. I think the editor wanted to play up race and gender as hot selling points in order to hit a market that is less mainstream than they think.

Must read book. Funny, informative and will forever change the way you look at alcohol
I don't drink every weekend but when I do I may over drink. I wanted to do a no drinking in January because I was drinking a lot more after the swine flu. I will be more cautious after reading this book, but I will still drink. The author is funny and has a lot of useful information. The book is good for everyone to read.

   Returning this book!
I disliked the book because of the anti-AA, anti-Trump and anti-white men. Returning for a full refund.

   Self love story
This is a love story according to her. A love story of self and the path to that. This is more than just a book about recovery or how to quit substances, it is a book about being human, continually growing up, finding boundaries, searching for worth and navigating toxicity. The book is about peeling back the layers to find out who you are. Well written, smart, brave and backed with facts. I loved this book and the woman.

   Too Much Feminist Rant
I liked the Science of alcohol and practical advice in this book. The victim stance got a little old as the ultra-feminist, AA, white male bashing got a little old. I would have saved my money if I had it to do over.
