I am an adult and love children's books

I read books twice, but I could read this series again. You must read them in order, and I wish the books were marked with a large number, but I hope I have them in the correct order : 1 ragweed, 2 poppy, 3 poppy and Rye, 4 Ereth's birthday, 5 Poppy's return and 6 Poppy and Ereth. My old Scottish teacher was an old Scottish lady and used to get us to put our heads down the last 15 minutes of the day and she would read to us. This series would be good for that purposeful everyone goes home totally relaxed.

Required reading. Miserable book.
Derived From Web , Jul 15, 2021
My opinion is that this book is a terrible choice for readers of this age. Lots of conversations between characters, odd character names, sentences that go oooon forever. It makes this book so hard to read and the storyline so hard to follow. I swear that I would rather shoot myself in the foot than finish this book. Now you hating life right.

Highly recommended

My daughter read the Criapin series and enjoyed it so much, that she wanted to read other titles by AVI. She loves animal stories as well, so she bought Ragweed and then read the rest of the Poppy series as well, because she enjoyed it so much. This series of the books we highly recommend. Easy to read for near teens very young teens, but entertaining to read.

Ragweed (Poppy)
Derived From Web , May 2, 2021
I taught high school for many years and taught fourth grade. The Poppy Series was one of many books that I kept in my school library. My grandchildren read to them when we loved them. I got this book as a gift for the grandchild of a friend. I am a believer that the more you read consistently to a child, the more likely he is to love reading and become a better reader. The research is strong in this regard.

Print is too Small.
Derived From Web , Jan 15, 2021
I am sure the book is great, but the publisher needs to make sure that the print is large enough for younger readers. We had to choose another book for my son to practice his reading with beucase the print is tiny.
