Another parenting book that talks about how not to parent like our parents.
Derived From Web , Sep 19, 2021
Not for me at all. Phrases like 'instead of your mom's voice coming out of your mouth' show disrespect for parents.

The book gives tools that are easy to use and implement into your life, which is something parents need. I was already practicing meditation, but this gave me a new approach to it and ways to incorporate it into my parenting. It's easy to read, and the weekly practices are manageable. This book is a must-read for any parent who wants to learn how to control their own reactions.

A great tool for parenting and beyond!
Derived From Web , Oct 19, 2020
I'm halfway through this book and I'm loving it. I've read a few parenting books that give you a common sense view of what happens when your child is having a bad day, but I never found the actual tools to help stay calm or communicate effectively. The book digs into how our brains function and react, and how parenting can cause stress and trauma. The author gives many detailed explanations and exercises that help parents stay calm, communicate better, and become more effective and present parents. I think this book can help anyone, not just parents. !

Have kids, losing your mind? Exhausted? Read this book
Derived From Web , Jan 31, 2020
Hunter has the knowledge to make you want to be a better parent. Don't shame your kids and connect with them. You should make yourself a better person so you don't lose it with your kids. Understand why your three year old is crying because she has the blue cup instead of the green. Have a better relationship with your teen. It's not magic overnight, but it does make things a bit less chaotic and people are less likely to say I hate you.

Perspective Shifting...
Derived From Web , Dec 29, 2019
I wish I had this book before I had my babies. I have two boys who are 9 and 6 years old. The more reflective I have been, the better I have come to understand my parenting triggers. This awareness alone has given me more peace and calm in my life, going beyond my family and my professional relationships. The relationship my boys have with each other is reflected in that. This cycle is motivational and gives me quick feedback that allows me to self correct. I am getting better thanks to this book because it helps me let go of guilt. Living in the light of a growth mindset is a challenge. This book has given me a perspective to connect with myself and my boys.
