   Good Read
I have two ten year old grandsons and I'm seventy two years old. I asked what they were reading in his fifth grade class while visiting one of them. He talked to me about Resart. I ordered the book since I was a third and fourth teacher for 32 years. I was so engrossed in the story that I couldn't put it down. Middle schools seem to have a growing problem with Bulling. For sure, the subject needs to be addressed. This book is about this concern. It is centered around the graders. I'm not sure if all 5 th graders will get it completely. A typical ten year old wouldn't get a lot of adult humor and expressions. Yes, the 13 to 14 year olds. This would be a great book for parents to read with their children to discuss being bullied and how to stop it. I can't wait to talk about it with my grandson because I enjoyed reading it.

   Did not catch attention of 5th grade girl
My daughter read another book by this author and I bought this for her. She asked me to get this book. When she reads a book that she enjoys, she learns that she likes the style of the author and will find additional books to explore by that same author, but in this case, the book did not catch her attention and she turned her interest away from the author. It was disappointing that an earlier work of this author was so captivating to her, and that this book and others since have been lacking.

   A Journey of Self-Reflection
This is a great book on a lot of levels. I like the different perspectives Mr. Korman used. The type of literature that allows me to showcase perspective in not just the typical 1 st2 nd3 rd person point of view, but when different characters relate the same experience and give their version of events is something I love. The authenticity displayed by Chase as he begins to realize the person he was before the accident and how his past actions have impacted the way people respond to him was a great part of this story. The book offers multiple opportunities for the reader to make connections. I remembered my awkwardness in junior high school as I read this. I won't give away the ending of this book. For me, the ending was a bit contrived and could have been better. A great read for all ages.

   A fun read about bullying and second chances.
My son and I enjoyed a summer read. He had a reading list from middle school. We ate it in a few sittings. You can get inside the heads of the characters when you read each chapter from a different point of view. Brendan Espinosa was my son's favourite character. It is recommended that you read a fun read that takes a serious look at choices, choices, and the chance to be inclusive of all.

   Chase Is a Winner!
Korman's books have been enjoyable since I first read them. RESTART shows his development as a writer. Growing up with more depth and insight than I expected is what this story deals with. I don't like stories written in first- person, present tense, but Korman handles it so skillfully that I barely notice it. His viewpoint changes are handled more tactfully than in other books by him. The plot is well served by different perspectives. I could root for Chase without feeling impatient, and I didn't have to wallow in teenage angst.

   Wonderfully done. Lots of lessons learned
Two of my grandsons were reading this book in school and I wanted to read it with them. Superbly done. Lots of lessons were not forced on kids. The conversations my grandsons and I had about the story were very inspiring. At least 40 kids were at the Book Club group at the school, with their parents and teachers. It was amazing to hear young kids moving by a story. It is highly recommend.

   This book is sooooo good!!
I want my 8 th grade classes to continue reading books with the theme of doing the right thing, so I' ve been looking for another book to match the one I' ve already read. The book is very good. Highly recommended.
