   Best Athens Guide
This is all you need to get around Athens because the best sites are all close together, and this is the only guide that's realistic to take along in your purse or pocket without regretting the extra weight as you walk around, especially as you climb the Acropolis! It's much nicer when you can walk everywhere.

   Excellent. Just leaving Athens now
Leaving Athens at night. It was a perfect plan for the next few days. Food is vastly superior in the neighborhood where Misses reside. Rosebuds are also vegetarian and Syntagma and Lycavettas. On the third day of the trip you can take a licensed guide. I had a rooftop terrace with an air bn 22 for $75 night. It takes 30 minutes to get to the Acropolis. Non- greeks in cafes and restaurants are what made this city come alive.

   Really like this book because of the size
This book is so small that I really like it. It can be put in a purse or pocket. The information is currently based on the copy write date. It has a great map of Athens, only wish it was bigger. Information about the various sites offers a lot of information. Rick Steves offers audio for the various museums.

I bought the latest edition of this before I went on a trip. Some of the information was out of date. I think it's my fault for not looking at another source. It did a good job.

He's always been my go- to guide. This was a little short on accommodations in Athens. I' ve been to Athens several times. I like the small size of the guide. After we go to see if restaurants and transportation are available, I' ll review again. are up to date.

The first two Steves- recommended establishments we attempted to visit were long closed. Ended up using another guide for the rest of the trip. POCKET ATHENS was deadweight in a heavy backpack.

The book was a great guide to Athens. What to do in Athens is covered in the book. You should look for another book if you want to learn more about the less famous areas.

   Good Excerpt from the Big Athens Book
The book can be found in a hip pocket or a side pocket. It is too big for a shirt pocket. There are five tours from the larger Athens book. There is a good selection of hotels and restaurants in it. The map of Athens and the Metro is nice. If you don't like carrying the bigger book, I recommend this one.

I have several other pocket guides by Rick Steves, and I would recommend this one as well. Before I head out on a trip, I look online for the most recent recommendations and advice. He has local advice and recommendations that you don't find elsewhere, so I always enjoy reading these guides.
