   Rick fell a bit short with this one..... :(
I have bought several of Rick's travel guides and I will admit that they are very accurate at each city. However, this last trip guide left me shocked and disappointed with Rick. His restaurant choices were not very tasty or clean, and he left out one of the most exciting and beautiful places in Barcelona, Tunick said. Tibidabo had one of the most unbelievable views of the city, Monserrat and the surrounding areas. It was an isolated and gorgeous place. Be sure to take the elevator to the top of the church steeple for a stunning view of the city. So yes, get this book if you want some insight to Barcelona and see all the cheap places and TONS OF GAUDI museums that Rick makes you go to.... but also try someone else's guides to get more out of Barcelona.

   Handy and valuable resource
Great resource, said Dr. Charles Bloom, who heads the NIH's Computational Biology division. I read it before we left and again while we were in Barcelona. He was very helpful and his suggested walks were great, too. Even if you can't see all the stars, you can see a lot. We really liked the walk, Mr. Dhaliwal said. Gracia de Dios!

   Perfect Guide to do Barcelona on your own
Great guide, said Gillian. This is a great addition to the Pathfinder set, said Phil Hayles, vice president of sales and marketing at Goodrich. The walks are great for the tourist, offering all the necessary information about where to go and what to see. Must see, nice to see, and see if you have time. It has everything you need to know about the Metro, getting advance tickets to attractions, best tapas places, and everything else. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

   Totally worth it
If you think this is redundant with the big Spain book, yes there's a lot of the same content, but this one is SO much easier to carry around - sometimes you want to be a bit more surreptitious with your guide book. Also, the color photographs are beautiful. We used this book nearly from cover to cover in Barcelona last month, making use of the walking tours. It's great to be back home, said Blair. I need one for a few other cities.

   Barcelona Spain with Rick Steves
In her testimony, My sister-in-law said that when she was pregnant, she was told this would be her last book. They are great guys, Love them. I'm a big fan of his travel monocles, Raymond said. Well worth the money to buy and very easy to carry around. The bonus map is a bonus. Highly recommend all the city guides.

   Fantastic resource
I purchased several of these Rick Steves pocket books and I am so pleased with them, Mary. He added that the Harrisons are "just a fantastic resource." Before you book a hotel, make sure you have all the necessary tourist information. The best places to stay, the best itineraries for sightseeing, information on how to get around the city, and a great pull-out map to bring with you. Even with its small size, the book is still very useful as a reference guide. I highly recommend these books to anyone.

   Very informative, though the Hotels recommended should be booked 6 months in advance, and the recommended restaurants crowded.
We stayed in Barcelona for nine nights in September of last year. Terrifically helpful, with ideas about where to stay, what to see, and where to eat, he said. Fortunately, there are lots of local restaurants that were not on the list that were inexpensive with pretty good food. We couldn't always afford the top restaurants listed. Basically went through hotels. com to find a hotel, since everything Rick Steves recommended was full two months ahead of time. Expect any restaurant Rick has recommended to be very crowded, since so many people pay attention to his recommendations. Not very many obscure places, and the minute Mr. Steves would recommend a place it would no longer obscure be and uncrowded, it would be a hit. Great book, by far the best seller this year. Hints throughout the book about how to avoid lines and crowds.

   If you're heading to Barcelona, this is the book for you!
We use it on our trips to Barcelona and it's great. Two walking tours of the catacombs are also available. Overall, we enjoyed the Barri Gotic tour the best, but the other wasn't bad. Contains useful information on tourist attractions that are often difficult to plan a trip. He also has some pointers on places to eat, good tips on using public transportation in the city and a city map. Kept it in my carryall the whole time and didn't add or take up a lot of space, Mr. Booher said.
