Must have to get the most from your trip!
I heard about Rick, but it was a very helpful weapon on our trip. My wife and I downloaded several of the big tours, museums, etc. to our phones and they were perfect. We like just the big facts and we get the highlights and we are able to visit famous sites, learn a few great things and move on. So much better than being dragged on a tour group. It allowed us to control our pace and most of the audio stuff was 30 minutes and with a few pauses was just the right size. Can 't imagine traveling without it!

   The BEST Guidebooks!
We ordered several of Rick Steves's pocket guidebooks for our trip to Italy. We did not research the best guide books and ordered based on Amazon reviews. They recommend restaurants, places and rate what you should prioritize. I highly recommend! ''

   Enhanced our trip to Italy
This book corresponds to spending 3 days in the city, which was how much time we spent there and worked out great. Depending on the time of its entry, it offers more or less sightseeing opportunities. Without this book we would have missed a lot of great sights in Florence that we would never have known. This book is small enough to carry in a small briefcase easily as you go.

Make the most of your time in Florence
We took a day trip from Florence on the Frecciarosa fast train, giving us about 13 hours to see what we could see in Rome. Thanks to the information in this book and Rick Steves'TV show, we knew that we should book tickets for the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery and work the rest of our schedule around it. On that day we saw quite a bit in Florence, the Duoumo, Osranmichelle, Piazzale Michaelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, Church of Santa Croce, as well as the two great galleries, without any undue haste.

and it doesn’t waste too much space on the travel ‘basics’ that every ...
For every city you go to, buy one. So much easier to carry the full version than a pocket-sized '' book. The majority of the book is spent on travel highlights, walking tours and recommendations, and it doesn’t waste too much space on the actual basics '' that every book includes always. 9 times out of 10 Rick Steves and his staff are spot on for restaurants, hotels and tour operators, the 1 miss in 10 is worth it for the 9 hits. The walking tours and info are just the right level of detail to get you what you need to make your sightseeing exciting and informative, but not so much that you lose what is important by spending your time with your nose in a book. The tips for saving time in lines are alone worth the price of the book.

   was very useful
I like his regional larger books the best. I had these pockets and his larger Italy book and ended up carrying the big book everywhere, which added a weight to my purse! In our apartments we found the regional books and were much more detailed than the big city books and smaller than my Pocket Italy book. Well, that is how we learn. The next time I write, and there will be a regional time when I get the next books!

You need this for your vacation
Steve knew his art, and Rick Steves knows his stuff. His humor is a bit dry and whimsical, but his knowledge of art and travel is unparalleled. If you want to spend your own vacation without a tour group and you don 't want to waste your time, DO THIS. Gold is well worth the cash and its weight in gold. Just be sure to check the museum times twice as they change.

   Loved these books
These books loved. We got one for each city we visited, and all info was up to date and very useful. He had every recommendation that we did was great. We also downloaded his audio tours to listen to on our phones, and I liked those as well.

Review of Pocket Florence guide , by Rick Steves
This is a very helpful pocket guide, and I have consulted it many times since receiving it. Five of us travel to Florence and Amalfi Coast and Rome the second week of September up. We have put extensive planning into this trip and this guide has helped a lot. We decided on renting a villa for four nights and we have already booked a private wine tasting tour. Would recommend Florence and Tuscany as a Resouce for visti definitelly to recommend.

Very limited, get the bigger book
We bought this pocket version and received the larger FlorenceTuscany book from the library. Once we finished our planning, we discovered that many of the things we want to do are not in the smaller version. It's too limited for us, though we'll be there only Wednesday-Saturday. I'll buy the bigger FlorenceTuscany book and I'm not sure if I'll even carry this one on the trip.
