Story-wise, these Dav Pilky books deserve 5 stars, but the construction is so awful, they begin to lose pages from the first time the books are opened... very disappointed.

Great book series for young readers
Derived From Web , May 19, 2022
My son LOVES all Ricky Ricotta Mighty Robot books. This one he pre-ordered with his allowance. He can always put it down, as always. He usually ends the book on the first day and this one was no different. Long rereading all week long. Love that there is a book serey that holds his interest for so long!

Any book that makes our children read on their own is worth the price of admission. The story is silly and immature, but that is what the kids love. My son has already rad the entire series.

Prehistoric power punchies

My son of 6yo and I love reading them together. We're pumped to get a hold of the penguins from Pluto, but we're hoping that it is not the last in the series. There is a hint at the end of the book that might suggest that there will be more, I sure hope so!

This is at a perfect reading level for my advanced 1st grader
Derived From Web , May 19, 2022
This is at a complete reading level for my advanced 1st grader. While he reads ahead of the first grade, he has the stamina of a first grader, so that the Ricky Ricotta books are a perfect balance of challenging text and pictures.

My kid likes these
Derived From Web , Jun 25, 2019
My visually challenged child can read the words, and it is a chapter book. So glad the author spells the words correctly. If you ever read this, Mr Pilkey, I want you to know that my kid reads your books and loves them. I appreciate that the words are big enough for a child who is legally blind to read, but would appreciate it if he would recognize that children his age who read Pilkey books eventually become terrible spellers.

Excellent series that engaged young readers
Derived From Web , Mar 29, 2019
My sons read this entire 9 - book series in 4 days. They loved it! It is a perfect intro to chapter books for a fluent reader. The stories engaged them both and they traded them and devoured them back and forth to finish as soon as they could. It is hard to find good chapter books that interest boys without bathroom humor destroying them. So glad we found them. Immediately buy!
