Was so hopeful for these highly recommended books that I bought the maximum allowed by the seller. While recommended for ages 3-8, the verbose text takes the content from the additional explanation that is required. The children in the illustration have eerily large eyes.

Actually helped my kid!!!
Derived From Web , Jul 19, 2021
I received this book because it was recommended to help parents deal with some of their children's bigger emotions. Thought it was silly and didn 't have high expectations, but it actually helped my daughter deal with scary situations and be brave. After about half a dozen reads, I really noticed a difference and she references the book when she is nervous. Amazing! Kind of Amazing!

Do not buy, save your money

This is such a terrible book for any child who is afraid of anything. The characters'eyes are scary. I bought this for my daughter to try to make her more brave and she immediately hated it and was scared of it. $4 for a paperback book is such a rip-off as well. I purchased it really bummed. It is written and illustrated very poorly.

Easy way to have a good discussion with the kids
Derived From Web , Jun 21, 2021
The ages of 9-11 were 4 children. There are not many words on a line, but it isn 't a baby book either. We read loud, passed the book around, talked about what it said. It was a fun and easy way to have a good discussion about doing things that are new or hard or scary.

It’s geared toward anxiety and shyness not everyday bravery
Derived From Web , May 4, 2021
I bought this book because I wanted to motivate my girl to be more courageous when riding a bike, climbing a tree or walking in the dark... But this book is more geared to children who are very shy and have some type of anxiety. My daughter enjoys it to some degree, but I am afraid that the book does the opposite of causing her to be brave. It makes her afraid of being laughed at her by other children, and she never felt this way before. ( I would not recommend this book unless it is mentioned above under some circumstances ).

Must have for kiddos who have fear issues
Derived From Web , May 3, 2021
My son became very suddenly afraid of several things, including bees, spiders, loose hairs, showers and toilets. I bought him this book and he made negligible improvements in a week! He loves the book and asked me to read it daily to him and the other day when he was in the shower, I heard him saying : I can do this, I am brave! Which is self-confidence, he learned in the book. I can not say enough good things about this book and recommend it highly to other parents!

Not worth the money

I have bought 3 of these books for my 4 - year-old grandchildren. Am I very disappointed! I have paid almost $50 for 3 small bindee books. They have around 20 pages with words on them and can see that there are not many on the page. I bought 1 to see exactly how the books were. On the ribbed part, got ripped off like a feather. They are on the market for about $5 a piece.

Love love love it
Derived From Web , Nov 9, 2020
He often worries about the worst case scenario for things. Trouble sleeping, issues with independence or being alone and terrified of the dark... We have tried multiple self-help books, but they all seemed too advanced for his age. This book is so simple, it is cut and dry and we love it! I think that this book will be a huge help to our household. ***Only thing I wish was different was that each book came with a poster to hang with the steps to feeling fine and brave and the encouraging phrases they use in the book.
