   BEST BOOK EVER....for a 5yr old boy!
This was part of my grandson, Punkin's Christmas gifts. I had never heard the Notebook series by Doom and came across it while shopping on Amazon. Punkin is 5, but reads at a 3rd grade level, so I had no doubt that he would be able to understand and enjoy this book. He reads it constantly and fell asleep in his hands for the first week or so. I was disappointed that Book 2 was not available on Amazon when I bought Book 1, but I have bought two other books in the series and he is just as enthralled by Notebook of Doom. Amazon, thank you for helping me find the perfect gift for my grandson, who has helped increase his love of reading.

   Reluctant Reader Loved it
I gave this book to an 8-year-old boy who is in the third grade and reads on the low side of the grade level. He opened it and looked at it. He then finished reading it immediately and started it before bedtime. I have read it myself before giving it to him and really enjoyed it. The illustrations are very nifty and the lyrics draw me in. Since the book was such a success, I bought two sequels for his upcoming birthday.

It was her first series of chapter books and I am trying to find something else so she stops re-reading these books. The notebook of Doom has done the trick. She is now Book 5. )
