Romans: A 12-Week Study
Book Overview
A tremendous resource for those wanting to study and teach the Bible with an understanding of how the gospel is woven throughout Scripture. --Bryan Chapell, Pastor, Grace Presbyterian Church
The Knowing the Bible series is a resource designed to help Bible readers better understand and apply God's Word.
These 12-week studies lead participants through books of the Bible and are made up of four basic components: (1) reflection questions help readers engage the text at a deeper level; (2) Gospel Glimpses highlight the gospel of grace throughout the book; (3) Whole-Bible Connections show how any given passage connects to the Bible's overarching story of redemption, culminating in Christ; and (4) Theological Soundings identify how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture.
With contributions from an array of influential pastors and church leaders, these gospel-centered studies will help Christians see and cherish the message of God's grace on every page of the Bible.
The book of Romans was Paul's greatest literary achievement, a majestic letter in which the apostle explains crucial doctrines such as original sin, election, substitutionary atonement, the role of the law, and justification by faith alone.
Plumbing the theological depths, this guide explains the biblical text with clarity and passion--helping us to follow along as Paul recounts the history of salvation and illuminates the glories of the death and resurrection of Christ.

This study guide on Romans has some excellent aspects and some very poor aspects
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
This study guide on Romans has some excellent aspects and some very bad aspects. Hence, 3 stars. The explanatory parts of the guide are the excellent paragraphs at the end of each chapter called the Gospel Glimpses, Whole-Bible Connections and Theological Soundings. These paragraphs explain the important teachings in each part of the Scriptures clearly and briefly. As a leader of the study group, I was very disappointed that most of the questions completely omitted the critically important doctrines and teachings in Romans. If you choose this study guide on Romans, be prepared to write your own questions or supplement the questions in the guide.

I would work on asking questions to strengthen chapter knowledge, not nonsense unrelated to chapter
Derived From Web , Aug 1, 2020
This is because I was in a Bible study and we were going over this book. Some of the questions I feel honestly didn 't go with the theme of the book or even the grasping of the true meaning of the book. If you are studying a book, you should expect that those studying are learning and trying to understand more about scripture. I thought that most questions per chapter didn 't make you think about what you read, but rather something different.

Great study, learned a lot
Derived From Web , Apr 26, 2019
I am finishing this study and I have learned so much over the last 12 weeks. More than any other study, I taught myself. The question has challenged me to think really deep and to go further. I would recommend the ESV - Study Bible to use if you are newer to Bible study and need some help with answers, as there are often corresponding discussions in the study Bible that helped me on the way.

Well written and accessible to a broad audience.
Derived From Web , Jan 10, 2018
This is the second study in this series, I have led a group of men through. It is accessible to a broad audience, suitable for newer believers, as well as those who have been around the block a few times. I particularly like the sections for each week's “Gospel Seeings â€, “Whole Bible Connections '' and “Theological Soundings ''. These sections provide context for the content in the study that helps you understand how this book and its themes fit into the broader scope of the Bible.
