In a series of crimes that has stunned Washington, D.C., bank robbers have been killing bank employees and their families if the robbers' instructions are not followed to the letter. Alex Cross knows this is no ordinary criminal -- the pathological need for control and perfection is too great.    James Patterson's, Roses are Red. A Vision book release.
In the Red Roses are James Patterson's Roses. Detective Cross is now in the midst of a series of homicides and bank robberies, once again with Detective Cross. There seem to be no keys to be found, where. Where does the motivation come from? Cross teams up with FBI - Agents Kyle Craig, Betesy Cavalierre and two other agents, who are traveling from New York to Washington D.C. to try to understand just how this group of killers knows just what is what in the banking industry. People taken hostage and then released without injury, while others are murdered in cold blood. Indeed, a rousing read. See if you can come up with your own ideas about who is the mastermind! Cross is also known as Cavalierre, Craig and Cavalierre. I've received a gut feeling about one hundred pages before the end of this well written book. Buy it now! It will be great for you! It is rated as PG. Some of the language is strong and sexual infl. California DP, Castro Valley, CA.

   Boring and Unsettling
ROSES ARE RED by James Patterson features a crack Washington DC homicide detective Alex Cross. I've read almost 40 James Patterson books, including at least a half dozen from the Alex Cross series. In comparison, Roses climbed above the mediocre level never. In this writing, Patterson's characters lack depth. Even Cross's FBI - love interest, Betsey Cavalierre, who could have been a prime contributor to the story, appeared more like a one-night stand than a thoughtful love interest. The writer's constant return to Cross's family with Nana Mama and the boring Cross clan was distracting and more a distraction than part of the story. Appearing as an afterthought, Patterson pulled a villain out of thin air in the last couple of pages, leaving the reader aghast and cheated. Is there a sequel, a continuation? I give Roses no more than a rating of 2 out of a possible 5.

   Completely forgettable
In the beginning and in the middle I liked it okay, but the end turned me off to James Patterson. Roses are Red is an Alex Cross novel with the police psychologist facing a mastermind criminal. But the end had two too many plot twists, which threw out the window all the set-up in the middle of the novel. He had personal conflicts, but were not tied well into the main conflict of finding the Mastermind, so that they were more distracting than the suspense. Though it was easy to read and enough of a page turner to get through it quickly, it was completely forgettable in the end.

Great read though repetitive family storyline...
Very enjoyable read, though sometimes you get tired of Alex repeating his love for his children. I love my own, but it seems so overdone for this character, every cross book rehashes the same family storyline. We get it, you love your family and Nana Mama is your hero...

   Great Thiller
This was a page turner that I couldn t read, I love to put down. This is a thriller that continues to follow Alex Cross as he juggles his personal life while he is after the Master Mind. You won 't expect the book to end, how it does, it will keep you on the edge of your seat!

   Over whelming
His children and the woman he loves are his children. As the FBI and the D.C. police a vicious psychopath hunt, they find that they are being hunted. James Patterson keeps you involved again from the first page to the last.

   Intrigue to the end
I had to read the book until the end of the book to know what happened. I'm looking forward to Violets being blue.

   Another Great Read
I personally enjoy all the things I had read by James Patterson ''. Although I read a few of the Alex Cross books in the past, I decided to read them again to reread the entire series in order. I am not bored or disappointed at all.

finally I’m hooked on Alex Cross
I was not really excited with the previous 5 books. They were okay, but I thought they had unexplained tangents that we were to move from. This book made the characters come alive in my mind and now I'm excited to move on to Book 7.
