   Hugely enjoyable books
This is our favorite book series from our son. The original one not only hooked him up, but turned him into a voracious reader. The books are smart, fun and clever and leave out things that make parents cringe. I highly recommend The Notebook of Doom to parents to start reading to your children or as a great start into chapter books for them on their own.

   Lots of fun
We love these books in our house. My son started reading them when he was in the second grade and have become a favorite with all our children. Even my one and three year olds sat and listens when we read them. They are fun and clever. The back days appeal first to the third grade, but I think it is more than that. They are easy enough for a first or second grader to read by himself.

   Great series
By the way, my son loves this series. Easy to read and fun to watch. It is one of those books in which you are excited as a parent to know what happens at the end. The new series of books and we look forward to each fun book that comes out.

Good introduction for chapter book type
This is a good introduction to the chapter book, my son loves it! He read it first in the school and then ask me if he can buy a other version of it. He likes the story and keeps him busy for a while reading it. Happy kid, happy mommy.

   Great Series
This is a wonderfully written and illustrated series of books. Follow Alexander Bopp on a journey battling monsters in his new home town, as he meets a few new friends and teams up with them to save his school and town. Each book can be standalone, but sometimes they draw on previous stories.

Great, fun books for young elementary kids!
My second son loves to read and LOVES all things spooky. Although he loves to read, he has been a little behind in reading chapter books. These are the first chapter books he has been really into. He can read them on his own, but struggles slowly and reads with an occasional word. They are definitely age appropriate though and he is beginning to read them independently to get faster. Whether he read them on his own or we read them to him, he is completely captivated by these stories. He loves the monsters and the art works throughout the book. I also enjoy the stories as a parent. They are obnoxious stories without any cute, funny characters or storylines. I love that my son is so absorbed in the stories and has so much fun reading them!
