Fast, Furious, Fun!
Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
If you want to get someone into RPGs and want to keep it simple, but don 't want to pay for multiple rules bloated books like Pathfinder, etc. It is a core system for less than $10. No additional supplements required, though you can always buy them if you like different settings. Only other things you need is a pack of playing cards, pennies or something to use for bennies and a set of standard polyhedral dice and you are good to go. Very friendly GM with little preparation time. Friendly player, easy to learn. As a side note, to learn more about Savage Worlds, visit the YouTube channel Jerrod Gunning, where they have a weekly Wednesday GM Hangout. There are LOTS of videos of different topics about how mechanics, settings, etcetera work...

useful, playable and fun
Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
Works well for any genre and can be taught fairly quickly to new players. This version of the rules is helpful, the presentation is straight forward and the index is well done. This is a small-sized book that is easy to bring with you, wherever you play.

Do not understand what makes this cinematic, mostly it seems very inconsistently designed rules, very difficult to remember what to do. The game itself is odd and deserves more of a test. As I understand the rules, it would work a little better to build characters that were a little good at everything. That is a laudable design intent -- but I find that most players want to be really good at the things they like to do and that is not the case exactly in character development I have seen around this game. The milieus look fascinating, but I played in a homebrew setting and I did not find it, well fun. I thought it was balanced to have different types of characters playing Brawlers, Sneakers, Magicians, Gunners together.

Better than D&D
Derived From Web , Feb 15, 2018
I have played several different RPG systems, but I like this one so much better than any of them. It offers so much flexibility, character creation and gameplay are simple, yet full of possibilities. With just this book, you could play just about any kind of game you want, and there are also a lot of good supplements for it. In this book you can find 5 different kinds of magic that you can use, some test races, several setting rules to help you personalize your setting campaign. It also has a Bestiary and 5 One Sheet Adventures.
