I bought a copy of this book to have in my classroom to share with students and to show them that there are multiple ways for people to speak up and use their voices to change the world. My only issue is that I wish the book included someone who uses the American sign language to show how people can use their hands to speak up when they don 't have a voice.

If you have a child under age 2, I highly recommend reading this positive book to them. Currently I read it to my 6yr old self-consciousness about how to treat others as well as herself.

Empowering

She is fairly introverted and has difficulty expressing herself out loud. She especially likes the part where it said that her voice did not have to be loud, as this fits her personality. Just because you are not loud, does not mean that you don 't have something to say. The artwork was also beautiful. She looks forward to filling up in the empty speech bubbles on the last page.

Intersectional B.S.
Derived From Web , Mar 21, 2019
The pictures in this book are aimed at mediating a perceived power imbalance between white children and all other groups. This is a mixed poisonous and toxic ideology. Teaching children in this way to perceive the world will have disastrous consequences for our society.

This book lives up to the expectations I have come to Peter H. Reynolds from . This is a fantastic book just by looks. I also like the message, which is inspirational in presenting the different ways that people can say something and not always require words.
