It's been over a decade since Verne Harnish's best-selling book Mastering the Rockefeller Habits was first released. Scaling Up (Rockefeller Habits 2.0) is the first major revision of this business classic which details practical tools and techniques for building an industry-dominating business. This book is written so everyone -- from frontline employees to senior executives -- can get aligned in contributing to the growth of a firm. Scaling Up focuses on the four major decision areas every company must get right: People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash. The book includes a series of new one-page tools including the updated One-Page Strategic Plan and the Rockefeller Habits ChecklistTM, which more than 40,000 firms around the globe have used to scale their companies successfully -- many to $10 million, $100 million, and $1 billion and beyond - while enjoying the climb

   Worth 9 figures
Verne turned to New Tech as a new tech CEO at age 30. After 12 years in the company, I sold it to a public company for 9 figures. His tools, teachings, and community were instrumental in helping me grow as a leader, grow as a manager and grow our company. This book is overdue and does a great job of updating Rock Habits with the stuff that Verne and his cadre of fast-growth management innovators and practitioners have refined over a few decades. One of the top few must-reads for an ambitious manager is one of the top few.

Better than I thought it'd be.
It is a very good book, basically an immediately useful book for those who want to raise their company to a new level. I put off reading this book for a while because Rockefeller sounds almost like a marketing jargon. I decided to give this book a chance recently ''. I read about 5-10 books a day and I am already getting a ton of value out of it. I certainly apply many of the principles and methodologies from this book to my business and to other businesses that I work with.

A Must Read for Business Owners who want to take their companies to the next level
Until I attended a conference where Verne Harnish was a lecturer, I had never heard about scaling up. His talk has inspired me to buy the audiobook version of Scaling UP. I soon realised that I would like to physically refer to some of the information and worksheets, so I bought the hardcover version. The idea of focusing on people, strategy, execution and cash is particularly meaningful to me as an entrepreneur who has been in business for 18 years and now has over 100 employees. Had I known even half of the information presented in this book over the years, I am certain that my company would be much further ahead than it is today. Well, later is better than never. I intend to use Scaling Up as a tool to improve my company. I was even inspired to attend the user conference Scaling Up. The book Scaling Up was the most meaningful book that I read in 2017.
