   Somewhat informative
This book can be helpful for parents who seek information about ADHD and need some strategies on how to help their child, Melissa said. As a licensed therapist, I found this book to be very informative and helpful. It's for beginners, it's for professionals with some knowledge of ADHD.

   Eye Opening, jaw Dropping Revalations
I bought this book for my son who just entered high school. I thought it would be great to help him learn about his absolutely creative, wild brain that has a hard time working with others, Raymond said. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and honestly, I never really believed it until I read this book. The book basically changed my understanding of myself, Raymond said. I was told that I had a tendency or that and I totally dismissed it. I felt attacked easily and was determined to do things my own way, he said. I am so thankful to the author for writing this book in such a way that helped me understand the whys behind so many of my questions, Contessa said. Although, it's not intended for this, I read it with my son so that we could discuss our unique experiences together. It has helped to remind us that we are on the same team and can be more supportive with compassion, he said.

   Definitely Recommend!!!
This book is a great introduction to ADHD and parenting. As a mom who's child was recently diagnosed with cancer, sometimes I feel like the information I find doesn't apply to my child and I can feel like I'm failing. But this book combines information from many sources and ties in other great parenting books, like The Whole Brained Child and The Explosive Child. Overall, I found the book to be extremely relatable and easy to read. A little hope and positivity go a long way, he said. I especially liked the distorted thinking portion, which was tailored for kids. Definitely recommend.

A Unique Heart-felt Perspective On What Children with ADHD Really Go Through
The book is the culmination of a journey of discovery and healing by Dr. Pauley. Before that I was a teacher with a Master's degree in Early Childhood and Education. I had a child with ADHD. I think that every teacher and parent of a child with ADHD would benefit from this book, especially those that think that ADHD is simply a lazy child being offered some heart-felt recommendations. Thanks for your insight as a therapist, a teacher, a parent, and someone that speaks from experience, he said. The book can be read by parents who have lost hope and gained a better understanding of what their child is really going through. I would like to see it used in teacher workshops, too.
