This is a great book series, my daughter can not put them down once she starts reading them! We have the rest of the series and she likes to go back through them and read them again. She can also get AR points for taking the test on what she remembered from the books for school. Worth the money, indeed!

Great Scholastic build a reader series!

Thanks Scholastic for this reader for this series! '' My daughter love to grow the branches into a reader's books! Scholastic does a nice job and gives this book a guided O rating on the Book Wizard - difficulty - list. Very happy with this series, and my daughter requested more of these books. Good for ages 7-9, but depending on child interest, may be slightly different. This book cover does Eerie look, but my daughter seems to be mature enough at 9 and loves to read them! I wish I found them sooner!

My son loves these books
Derived From Web , Jun 22, 2017
My son is an avid reader and his three favorite series are Eerie Elementary, Captain Underpants and My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish. He has read every book in Eerie Elementary that has come out so far and already asked me to preorder the next. They are made for an approximate 3rd reading level. He is in the 1st grade, but is advanced in reading from most of his fellow classmates.

My son is very into bad things and these books provide the right amount of mystery to keep him interested without giving him scary dreams. The series follows 4 children through their primary school, built by the Eerie family. One of the Eerie family members, however, haunts the school by bringing it to life. The kids, led by the Hall Monitor, are left to fight the elements of the school, which they do by researching the city and its history, the Eerie family and the school itself. Each book brings a new surprise that forces the kids to look for new clues. My son loves positing what the clues mean and what happens next, stating what he would do in each situation. Whenever it comes out, we get the new book in the series, and we have yet to be disappointed.
