Another winner of Maris Wick's is Maris Wick! I think we like the book Human Body Theatre more, but the Coral Reefs is also cute and very educational. I highly recommend this book, along with Human Body Theater.

   Fabulous books!
There are so many different topics and the books have so much information in them. Don 't be fooled by the graphic novelcomic book format ; these books have a wealth of information presented in a very entertaining format. My daughter reads her over and over again. I am also a teacher and would absolutely recommend these books.

   2nd grade son
My second son loves science comics, and the book Coral Reef is near the top of the list. According to his teacher, my son is reading at about a 4th grade level, and he can pretty quickly plow through these books. He likes that its a graphic novel, I like that science is presented in such an engaging way. With support, I think that children would enjoy reading these books snuggled with their favorite adults and they may hold interest for children in the 5th or 6th grade, especially if the science comics could be used instead of a boring text book. This series is great for home schoolers, avid readers, reluctant readers and science lovers.

   Interesting and well done, but not as good as Maris Wicks's Human Body Theater
We loved Maris Wicks's human body theater, and this one was well made, but had too many descriptions of each single coral at some point, which made it difficult to get through, especially without real pictures of the corals to go with the information. My child loved the small fish and i really appreciated how well it was performed, but it was not as good as the human body theater.

   Beautiful graphic novel about coral reefs. My son LOVES it. It's educational and fun, what more could you want?!
I was not sure what to expect since I never received one of these, but I was extremely happy with this book. My son loves the ocean and I bought him this book to help him read more. It is illustrated beautifully and there is ALOT of good information that is accurate and has been well researched. I highly recommend ''. There's a whole series going on!! I can 't wait to get him more.

   Best Science comics for kids
My six-year-old loves books written by Maris Wicks. She became a fan after reading her human body theater and she also loved Coral Reefs. After reading Coral Reefs, she asked me, What animal does not have a head? Coral told me that it is Coral. And she spoke about Sea Pans or Sea Whips, sea penguins, sea anemones and sea jellies. When I write this review, I have to refer to the book, to be honest, but she can introduce them to me as if they were her friends. Kids have very good memories, but never want to use them on things that feel boring. And because of her, we still got most of the science - comics - series, but her books are almost the best.

   Very good way for learning
When i started reading this great graphic novel, i got hooked on the first page! Great price and resonable content. One thing that i mention is that the cover is kind of peely. Nevertheless, i rated it five stars. I like how the book tells the scientific name of different coral reef species. i also like the little fish guy who narrarating the story. If you are thinking about buying it, you should! i have not read any of the other books by this author, like the Plague or the dinosaurs, but i really think that this author is very creative with their books. If you buy this book, I hope you engoy it! Me Me-Myself ''.

The Science Comics series uses the popular novel format to inform kids about graphic topics. In this case, the theme is coral reefs. The narrator is a yellow sassy goby fish that explains the facts about coral reefs and their inhabitants. There is a wealth of information in this book, and it may be a little much for younger children. If they are interested in the subject, children can then remember a surprising number of facts. The illustrations are bright and beautiful, and labeled diagrams are provided to explain the facts. The readers will find a glossary, bibliography and a list of additional resources in the back of the book. The book also gives information about conservation and real examples of what children can do to help.
