Engaging and educational... clever

This book is so clever. I bought it for my two children but found myself laughing out loud as I read it cover to cover. The book was written by a gastroenterologist and names all the relevant hormones, supplements and even surgery. I wish I'd had this back in A&P!

Very sciency.

I have read and reviewed several Science Comics books. Generally, I find them to be very informative and fun for the kids. While this book was informative, it might have been too informative. There were a ton of complicated words right from the beginning, and my kid's eyes just started to gloss over. There is a glossary of terms in the back, but there were just too many to wrap their brains around. The pictures helped a little, but the best parts, naturally, were the parts that talked about burping, farting and vomiting. One of my favorite parts was when the little narrator realized what he truly was. What a story overload the kid pages. Thank you, NetGalley, and First and Second books for the arc in exchange for my unbiased review.
