On the run . . .
Elena Gilbert's love, the vampire Stefan Salvatore, has been captured and imprisoned by demonic spirits who are wreaking havoc in Fell's Church. While her friends Bonnie and Meredith explore the evil that has taken over their town, Elena goes in search of Stefan.
In order to find him, she entrusts her life to Stefan's brother, Damon Salvatore, the handsome but deadly vampire who wants Elena, body and soul. Along with her childhood friend Matt, they set out for the slums of the Dark Dimension, where Stefan is being held captive. It is rumored to be a world where vampires and demons roam free, but humans must live enslaved to their supernatural masters. . . .
Elena will stop at nothing to free Stefan. Yet with each passing day the tension between Elena and Damon grows, and she is faced with a terrible decision: Which brother does she really want?

dissappointed yet again......

They are not going to let this woman keep writing. She needs one more book to be done. The book series needs a new ghost writer. She doesn't care about this series or her fans, that's what she told me. I feel that this book was not up to par. I hope that the next book brings the series to a close so that we don't have all this mess with the three brothers. It was a good love triangle, but I think Elena can have both. I don't like Elena and wish the guys would just leave her behind and start somewhere else. I don't know if I' ll waste my money on another book by LJ Smith. Wait for the next one to come out at the local library because I am sure it will be another disappointment.

Just okay

It was hard to follow the writing. I asked if I missed something thinking I was distracted, only to find out I missed nothing. The author is very detailed in some areas, but not in others. The read was okay.

Could have been better

The book was confusing. One moment a character is doing something, the next they are doing something completely different. The randomness of the ending made me feel like L.J Smith still has a job despite the stupid ending. I will not read the next book. I'm pretty sure that it will be the same as the others. Elena should grow up and stop acting like a boy when she is 13 years old because she is in love with a man. The first series was better than the others. Enough is Enough!
