What's a woman to do if her life is not taking shape the way that she thought that it would? What happens when she looks at herself in the mirror, lingering just a little longer than usual and realizes that she no longer recognizes the person staring back at her? What does she do when she sees that, somehow, her life has drifted away from all her original hopes, dreams, or plans?
Speaker, blogger and writer Chrystal Evans Hurst wrote this book because she was that woman. One day she realized that she had somehow wandered away from the life that she had purposed to live a long time ago.
Chrystal since discovered that this moment of awareness happens to lots of women at different seasons of their lives. Poor decisions, a lack of intentionality or planning, or a long-term denial of deep hopes and dreams can leave a woman, old or young, reeling from the realization that she is lost, disappointed, or simply numb.
And she just needs encouragement.
This woman simply needs someone to hold her hand, to cheer her on, and to believe with her that she is capable of still being the person she intended to be or discovering the girl she never knew was there in the first place.
Chrystal uses her poignant story of an early and unexpected pregnancy, as well as other raw and Read More chevron_right

If you've ever drifted ...

This is not for those of you who have it together or expect Chrystal to have either together! This is not a Saturday afternoon read alone, but requires self-reflective reflection and for the reader to answer questions about herself that will help her see where she is, how far she has gone, and find the girl she left behind. I would like to study the Bible for a juicy study. I loved both the content and the writing style. I loved the organization of the thoughts, and especially how the book was closed.

Too many anecdotes and stale sayings

I didn 't feel like the author was transparent or personal ''. Her stories felt a bit trite and the conclusions she had were good-but nothing revolutionary or different than you heard from various other people. I am not sure that she had a focus on her writing.

Must read if you need to regain that childhood hope for your life.

Book is excellent. I was crying '' by Page 2. I had all the hopes and dreams in the world and then ended years of infertility in premature twins. All the depressions, fatigue, autoimmune disorder, hypothyroidism, and sleep apnea followed. This was not the original plan for my life. . moments are amorphous. Good reading and such a inspiring read.

Had no idea how much this would resonate...

I don 't have words to express how this book speaks to my soul, how much joy it has given me and how much truth and wisdom is dispersed within its pages. I am so grateful that the author does have these gifts with words, the courage to share her own messy journey and words to encourage and inspire me to love my precious body and soul, that I am worth it. I am about halfway through this book and slowly savoring the chapters that speak so warmly to the core of my being. I am in love with her story and the truth of her words, which resonates deep within my own story. I can not recommend this book highly enough and will purchase additional copies for others who need to start the journey on their own soul restoration.

Would recommend to any woman who has struggled with life in general
Derived From Web , Oct 23, 2017
This book was literally written for me and has transformed my life in a tremendous way. In fact, in the final of the book, I felt like my best friend was moving away to a remote location, where I would have very limited access to her. Chrystal did an amazing job connecting with the reader and really helped me to dig deep and realize the true essence of who I am, and how to navigate some of the difficult circumstances and obstacles that have held me captive for so many years. I was very proactive in reading each chapter, doing the exercises at the end of each chapter, I did not fly through this book. , I meditated literally on each exercise and didn 't move to the next chapter until I had gotten all the information I needed and was ready to advance.
